  1. I rented a cottage on it a couple of years ago. We only caught 2 walleye, so they are in there. Lots of smallies and largies. Supposed to be a good population of muskie but i didn't catch any.
  2. I stayed on a island cottage for a week when that downburst/tornado hit Manitoulin Island, so a few years ago. We fished mostly bass and caught a few pike. Mostly tube jigs did the trick. Apparently, if you ask around up there there are some trout pen just floating around. I was told you fish near them with shrimp and can do quite well. Good luck!
  3. I would definatley try black long power worm rigged texas style. A grub (twister) tail on it. Watch out for the rock bass in that lake. Mizzmo
  4. It depends on how stained or weedy the water is
  5. you could also try some of the bridge on the rankin river. decent largies and pike
  6. is there a dam in kinmount
  7. thanks for the replies guys, we are actually staying about 5 km south of Kinmount. Mizzmo
  8. I have read maybe some walleye but definately smallies and muskies. Can anyone confirm this
  9. Hello All I have rented a cottage on the mighty burnt river between Cameron Lake and Four Mile Lake (but closer to four mile). Just wondering what fish species i might encounter or how the fishing is in this area of the river. Thanks for now. Mizzmo
  10. I heard great things about Balsam walleye in the spring and crappie too. There is a professional fishing guide named ******* Bower. Says he can find them with his eyes closed. Just fish really big lures. No seriously, i heard x-raps and jointed rapalas and white twisters. Natural colors though. I think i'll be seeing you up there!!! Mizzmo
  11. thanks for the help guys! that should get me started in the right direction.
  12. i've fished them a couple of time and have friends that do. bouncing twister tailed grubs works well for bass and pike. a float with either leeches or a crayfish under it is the way to go. just drift the deeper holes.
  13. try the big creek mouth south of bobcaygeon (sturgeon lake) for muskie and walleye. work deep weedlines. i used minnow immitation crank baits. i'm sure there are bass there to just never tried for them. good luck!
  14. hello all i have just rented a cottage on sandy lake (buckhorn). i was just wondering what species are located here? i am suspecting smallmouth are there. we will be there toward the end of september. thank you Mizzmo
