117 million lakes found in latest world count.

 

Using satellite photos and computerized mapping technologies, an international research team counted all of the lakes on Earth. They found about 117 million lakes, covering almost four percent of the world’s land surface, not counting the glaciers on Greenland and Antarctica, according to a new study.

It is the first time the world’s lakes have been counted using a reliable method, the study claims.

I figure if I hit 1000 different bodies of water, in my lifetime, that I'm doing good. So far I'm halfway there.

So many lakes so little time !!!! Wow .... I always fish new water every year last summer I fished 13 different lakes and this year so far I have done 4 all in the quest to constantly learn new water !!! But with a number like that I see I have a few more to go !!! Lol .... Keep calm & keep fishing !!!
