Meely Posted April 9, 2014 Report Posted April 9, 2014 Hello gang, I got a bit of an odd issue (no...no embarrassing rashes or funny welts....lol).... Once the power returns after an outage in my neighbourhood.....my flippin' garage door opens!! Can anyone "esplain" why? Do I need a new motor and use the old one as an anchor? Thanks, Meely
leaf4 Posted April 9, 2014 Report Posted April 9, 2014 Mine would do the same, but mine was also ancient, I ended up just disconnecting it because my tenants are too dumb to look before opening or closing the door
Big Cliff Posted April 9, 2014 Report Posted April 9, 2014 Mine will do that if there is a lightning storm and the power flickers. I'd like to know the solution too!
Terry Posted April 9, 2014 Report Posted April 9, 2014 dang, I need to see if mine does that UPS would fix it short term
irishfield Posted April 9, 2014 Report Posted April 9, 2014 Guess none of you guys have alarm systems... can't imagine the false alarms.
NANUK Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 Electonic board in the opener can be finicky, Plugging it in a good surge protector might help, you can try calling the menufecturer, they might have a fix for that issue.
