captpierre Posted March 31, 2014 Report Posted March 31, 2014 Took a drive up to the cottage near Buckhorn today Gannon Narrows open as far as the eye can see either side of the bridge in the channel. Crazy circular area, about 100 ft in diameter, of open water on the south side of the Chemong causeway near the middle. Looks like open water, or else it's sitting on the surface. What's this all about?

esoxansteel Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 That is water over the ice, will freeze tonight with minus 9 temps, seen what you were posting about on Saturday myself, sure did look hopeful though, need it to melt from the shoreline, and then some big winds to break it up
