If we didnt get all that dumping of insulating snow here,Simcoe would be 30+ inches thick. Most I have found is 20. Best year for ice in many years here. I see a very nice late perch fishing happening.

I'm for a late perch year on the hard water. I'm going ot be making the most out of the long weekend this year and the weather is suppose to be nice also

Just wait till we get a thaw and refreeze....yikes....break out the auger extensions! I say we're icefishing till end of april on simcoe for perch.

I remember fishing til the 11th of April on the ice for perch Shane. Out from IBP.

Ive fished the east side until april 20th before, then had the boat in 2 days after at VB. Its looking like a great last ice perch season :)

Yep.. Global warming has finally run it's course Paul, we're now headed towards the next ice age.

I seem to recall the Georgian Bay having some rocks? Maybe now there will be enough water over them for safe travel?
