Maybe I'm lucky. Never had a CTC battery. I was told Nautilus are Johnson Control. Deka is my choice of battery, 8 years on my cranking battery before I replaced this year with another Deka. davey buoy Posted July 15, 2013 Report Share Posted July 15, 2013 (edited) My nautilus 1000 is at least 7 years old and has powered two gas boats and a electric motor on my canoe. Still cranking my v8 i/o. My 730 nautilus is only 3 years old so really can't make a good comparison yet. The price was right anyways!! I guess there is bad ones in every lot.To each's own I guess.These batteries are stored indoors and with no winter trickle charge.I just slow charge them in the spring before use.
