Anyone know of any sites that offer free practice questions for the PAL exam? Got my FAC when I was 16 which was 20 years ago, when it changed to PAL i never did the exam. Looking to challenge exam just want to see how i"ll do

Have you given them a call? I had my expire almost 14 years ago and they had my details on file?!?!?! I am in the process of getting my new renewal issued so "Knock on wood" it will be in the mail soon. If you had your full FAC and not the version issued to young hunters just to buy ammo and not firearms than you should be okay.

Challenge it my friend. Same basic knowledge you used 20 yrs ago. Study up a lil though.

I was actually wondering this myself , I got my FAC about 25 years ago and lost the actual paper licence and never renewed it . I wonder if it is still vaild , I will have to give them a call

I did my FAC restricted test, before the PAL system came into effect. I never got aroudn to submiting my application until about 5 years after the PAL came into effect. I called them and The had a record of me passing the restricted course, and I was given my rPAL.

Good luck. I called and check today and its going to take another month or so... oh well my fault for taking so long to renew it.

 

Its better to call them before noon because it seems like it's impossible to speak to anyone after that.

Thanks for responses guys. My 8 year old is really into hunting, trapping targets you name it would love to be the one to buy him his first gun is main reason I want it.

I called the RCMP 1-800-731-4000. Explain to them that you had a FAC and see if they have it on file. There's a part in the application that request proof of completion so you can put "On File".

Well called today and apparently I turned 16, 2 years too soon. LOL They only recognize training from 1994 and forward I completed my FAC course in 1992 BOOOOOO Time to do some studying I guess
