Big Cliff Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 Had a friend come to visit this weekend, even though I knew the water temperatures were way below normal, he wanted to get out and enjoy the day and try to catch a crappie. Well, the warmest we could find was about 47° We tried shallow, we tried sheltered, we tried deep, we even tried live bait. Nada, not a single fish. Finally after two hours of not even getting a bite we decided to head back and just try to enjoy the sunshine and sit on the deck. Dinner is now in the oven and I'm going to have a well earned nap. Catching is lousy, life is good!
Leecher Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 Sounds like you guys had fun out there even with the fishes being tight lip... you'll get'em next time Cliff
limeyangler Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 I agree with Jacques....sounds great. Fishing, supper, naps. AWESOME REORT...reminds me of a song ...."these are a few of my favourite things.........."
bushart Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 Largemouth on frogs and a drag that really sings These are a few of my favourite things Next verse
Jer Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 Fishing was tough today Cliff. My buddy and I managed a crappie each and a few little bluegill for a few hours effort. Lots more boats out today then I've seen so far this year but didn't see anybody really catching.
captpierre Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 Heaven forbid but you might have to take up golf
