Does anyone have any advice on how to catch more fish because last time I went I fished for 10-15 hours and got two bites.
GBW Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 what's in the lake for the fish to feed on? use lures like it and fish slow
johnnyb Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 Welcome aboard, Oliver. Not sure what lures you've been trying, but maybe you need to try some different ones. Don't be afraid of the weeds....spinnerbaits will get through them without fouling up too much.
chuckymcd Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 What kinda fish are you fishing for?
limeyangler Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 Welcom to the board Oliver. You might want to add a bit more info to your request to help the folks assist you. Maybe aname what you have tried before. Once again...welcome to the board.
notvincent Posted November 2, 2011 Author Report Posted November 2, 2011 welcome to the board Im mainly trying for pike and I've been using a lure called the blue fox.
GBW Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 big lures at slow speeds this time of year then.
notvincent Posted November 3, 2011 Author Report Posted November 3, 2011 big lures at slow speeds this time of year then. any specific type of lure
BillM Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 For pike? A big Williams whitefish would be my choice.
NAW Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Try a big flourecent coloured mepps cyclops.
johnnyb Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 Oliver, Blue Fox is a lure company....the lure you have is likely a spinner...called a [blue Fox] Vibrax. Size 5 is a solid choice for pike, and hungry smallmouth won't turn it down either. As others have mentioned, large spoons are a great choice as well.
notvincent Posted November 4, 2011 Author Report Posted November 4, 2011 Going tomorow after school ill be sure to buy some of the listed lures at bass pro
