highdrifter Posted April 5, 2011 Author Report Posted April 5, 2011 HOLY.....HD... Ummmmmmmm.....SPEECHLESS. Thats just amazing...that pic with the rod bent double...great shot. Drooooooooling. That's an 11'6 meat stick that I use for chucking hardware.. Nothing like big river lakers to put some arc into it!! thanks brah.
highdrifter Posted April 5, 2011 Author Report Posted April 5, 2011 That one ice laker is black! I thought we got some dark lakers up here but I've never see one so dark before. Yep, darkest ever fish for me. This lake is reputed to have really dark fish.. Water is crystal clear too. She might have been a deep roamer..
highdrifter Posted April 5, 2011 Author Report Posted April 5, 2011 Lots of nice fishes there Fidel First Toronto ice pike i have seen reported. Was Grant there taking the picture? Great stuff Thanks bud. Big G couldn't make it out that time. He's been having great success though.. Maybe he'll indulge us a little!
highdrifter Posted April 5, 2011 Author Report Posted April 5, 2011 Thanks for all the replies guys.. More to come!
Rattletrap2 Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Beautiful fish and even better pictures! Thanks for posting. I'm absolutely drooling!
steelie hunter Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Quite the catch, gotta love the trout trifecta (browns/lakers/bows). Does that first one have a clipped dorsal fin? Stray NY fish?
highdrifter Posted April 6, 2011 Author Report Posted April 6, 2011 Does that first one have a clipped dorsal fin? Stray NY fish? Yep dorsal was clipped by the looks of it.. Which is a shame. Didn't seem to affect it much. I suppose the fish would have to learn to compensate quickly. She sure was well fed.
WeedLine Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 Great fish and pics there Fidel. Some real beauties
Moosebunk Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 Solid winter dood! Great pics. I like seeing the Niagara lakers caught that way.
