The Urban Fisherman Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 You might not be a Bass angler, or a fan of tournament fishing - and you might not even care that this weekend is the Bassmaster Classic, but THIS is a story worth reading! I've been especially busy, and am usually not able to get on OFC much at this time of year but this story hit home as I'm sure it will with many. http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/bassmaster/columns/story?columnist=barone_don&page=g_col_Barone_Classic_AngelsII PS. KVD is KILLIN' it! Enjoy the end of your weekends! Ryan
The Urban Fisherman Posted February 20, 2011 Author Report Posted February 20, 2011 Awesome as in what they did for Kevin - I wish there was a way to give that feeling to each and every person who suffers from something as such... My heart goes out to him and his family, and each and every person around the world in that position.
SRT8 smoker craft Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 That is a awesome story I really had to fight the tears back to finish reading it .
Handlebarz Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Dang now that is a great sad story I can understand it first hand the fighter in him. Keep up the fight Kevin to bad we can not all learn to live like that daily before were on borrowed time.
JohnF Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 This is what celebrity should be about. Too often we only think of professionals as nothing more than money-making entertainment machines when what we really need are role models and real heroes. This story shows us that we can have both. In the case it's hard to say who is the role model and who is the hero. Perhaps it's a little bit of both of them all rolled into one. Good for them both for sharing their lives, trials and successes with each other and the rest of us to give a wonderful composite hero/role model. Thanks for telling the story, Ryan. JF
