GBW Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Hey all. I still have a doz or more minnows alive and kicking from last weekend fishing. If you want them come get them and bring a bucket. I'm not sure when I can get out fishing next so the offer is out there for someone to make use of some free minnows. Geoff
GBW Posted January 23, 2011 Author Report Posted January 23, 2011 Bump - if anyone is going for the evening/night bite.
BillM Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Put them in the freezer and use them as chum!
Leecher Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Put them on a wax sheet paper and cover them in corse / pickling salt, into a ziplock freezer type bag and into the deep freeze. Salties
Leecher Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 fillet them and put on crackers. Art Yeah.... add a little pepper
GBW Posted January 23, 2011 Author Report Posted January 23, 2011 they are going to end up salted for bait. I had hope that someone would use them but I guess not.

walleyejack Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 put em on the left over pizza and pretend they are anchovies
Jer Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 I've been keeping minnows in my basement since before Christmas. Five gallon pail, small aquarium aerator, change out half the water every couple of days and I've lost very few minnows. Never keep more than 2 scoops at a time, add a scoop as required.
highdrifter Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Shame you're not offering them in bulk.. You'd have had more biters!
