l2p Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) Been blessed with awsome weather, good friends to be with in the new year, and most of all... time! having come back from my holiday trip i find out that i dont work until this up coming sunday, we all know what that means! my first fish of the year! haha mikes(dozer) beauty female this fish must have gotten itself caught on some netting of some sort, it was not wrapped in my line at all. it took me less that 15 seconds to get him to shore to release him. then my first big boy of the year decided to come out n play, hope everyone else is having a great beginning to the new year! centerpinFTW Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Very nice steelies! What happened to the one in the second picture? It looks like part of it's gill plate is missing.
l2p Posted January 6, 2011 Author Report Posted January 6, 2011 pretty cheap actually, im a one man team haha. thanks guys, i dont know exactly what causes the gill plate deformation. ive seen many fish over the years with the same problem and have heard many theories but none ever proven. either way they all seem to be healthy fish.
