Joey Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 Here's the first batch of pics so I could see what the new camera could do. Don't be too judgemental, I've got alot to learn I'd like to thank the Red Breasted Nuthatches for their cooperation, and also the bee that landed on the flower while I was taking pics Okay, let me have it, what can I do to improve? Thanks, Joey
Bly Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 Awesome shots Joey!! Wouldn't mind framing a few of those for my walls.
Sis Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 *sigh*....... Gonna hang up my camera now lol. Joey, if these are just a start, you are going to be absolutely fantastic once you've figured everything out! Excellent macros!
BillM Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Nice pics Joey, I'm assuming you are using a kit lens?
asdve23rveavwa Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 No need to apologize Joey, some really nice shots!! The awesome thing about digital is you can "blow" through hundreds of shots, without the costs of film processing that 35 mm had!
bare foot wader Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 great pics....far from a pro myself, somewhere along the learning curve..ha...but wondering on your macro shots, are you shooting free hand, high iso maybe?...if you tried with a tripod or really stabilizing your shot and shooting lower iso you could probably reduce some of the noise in the pic...something that's helped me
Twocoda Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 great pics....far from a pro myself, somewhere along the learning curve..ha...but wondering on your macro shots, are you shooting free hand, high iso maybe?...if you tried with a tripod or really stabilizing your shot and shooting lower iso you could probably reduce some of the noise in the pic...something that's helped me agreed and you could always get an inexpensive shutter release( 4 inch mechanical or a 10 foot Air release) to eliminate the movement of the camera that depressing the buttons gives.... you can play with your aperture to change the depth of field... some really vibrant shots ...good on ya !
Joey Posted October 8, 2010 Author Report Posted October 8, 2010 Thanks, and I did buy a tripod and am just playing and learning with that now. I'd like to get a remote shutter, but Henry's was out when I was there. Joey
