MSBruno Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 (edited) Anyone try this? regrets or no looking back thinking of doing this to my shimano chronarch video Edited January 25, 2010 by MSBruno
Bill Shearer Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 I've changed over many Centerpin reels to the Ceramic hybrid ABEC 7s. Although noisy,(bearing rumble) they sure do make a huge difference. No lube is required, so cold weather doesn't affect the spin. Worth the effort and cost, IMO
BillM Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 Anyone try this? regrets or no looking back thinking of doing this to my shimano chronarch Why would your Chronarch need new bearings? These bearing upgrades are more geared towards the float guys where bearings make a big big difference...

dave524 Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 (edited) From a practical standpoint I really don't think there is any advantage for angling, I could see a tournament distance caster reaping some benefit , a steelheader that used one for float fishing or some one who regularly used extremely light lures, but I would think any advantage would be nullified by the antibacklash braking system. To gain any benefit you would have to have the system backed off all the way and a very educated thumb. Edited January 25, 2010 by dave524
Terry Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 looks like a birdsnest in the making to me
