Yesterday afternoon there was a skim of ice over much, not all, of K Bay. It was minus 15 or so over night and still. Today has not been windy. The ice will form, there is nothing you can do to speed-up the process. Find safe ice and stick to it.

Kempenfelt looks to be frozen over as far as I could tell, although the ice certainly isn't safe yet.

im goin out in a floater with a spud ti jhonsons beach to check ice today i will keep everyone posted....there fishing at IBP already in 6 inches in the middle 3 at shore

Meegs posted somewhere that he was still breaking through in one shot with the spud bar only halfway up the Oro lines.... I went out for perch yesterday...left my laker box at home so I wouldn't be tempted to go checking the ice over any of the deep water
