GbayGiant Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Seen this over on muskyhunter, looks like it would have been a large fish. I was driving on my snowmobile while fox scouting this past weekend when I saw a bald eagle fly off the ice and up into a tree. I saw something sittin on the ice, so I decided to investigate. What I found was a large decomposing musky head and spine. I took a pic with my camera phone and put my boot in for a reference. I wear a size 12 rubber boot. What I'm wondering is how did it get on the ice? I was in the exact same area the weekend before, but it wasnt there. Do you think somebody caught it, and threw it up on the ice because they dont like muskies? Or maybe with the warm weather the week before it came out of the ice? I dont know, but it sucks that a fish that size is out of our lake now.
Carp Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Looks like a massive head on that fish. Too bad it had to end up in the condition shown.
jason27fish Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 That looks like it would have been a monster fish but all good things have to come to an end i guess
