Entropy Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 I have three books I’m trying to find out what the value is. 1. A Junior Manual of French Composition, Ritchie & Moore, Cambridge at the University Press, 1931. (Green Hardcover with black type) 2. Famous Canadian Stories, George E. Tate, McClelland & Stewart Limited – Toronto, 1953 (“This is a completely new and revised edition of Famous Canadian Stories formerly edited by Donald G. French” + Printed in Canada by Maracle Press Limited) (Red Hardcover with grey Indians on cover) 3. The Anti-Capitalistic Mentality, Ludwig Von Mises, 1956, D. Van Nostrand Company Inc. (Black hardcover with red and back dust cover) Anyone know the value or where to find the value out on these books. Where would one sell these, other than ebay? Thanks for any direction, Entropy
setomonkey Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 Check out this site, lots of used and out-of-print books. See if they have your title, as that will tell you what the going price is. Alibris Otherwise, I'd suggest taking them to a few different used/antique booksellers and see what they will offer you. Mike
John Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 This would be a good start. I'm not sure if there is an equivalent in Canada.. http://www.abaa.org/books/abaa/index.html
OhioFisherman Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 I used to trade Garcia Fishing Annuals for reels, depends on who is looking for them and how bad they want them. 4 or 5 got me most reels I was looking for, not bad for dollar a box fishing mags at garage sales.
