lloyd
Hi, Can anyone tell me why a set of very old cast iron frying pans have some hinged lids that attach at the round far end of the pan and fold over and lay to rest on the fry pan handle. The lids have ribs with slots in between them. I would post a pic but have no knowledge as to how to do that. Any help would be appreciated in finding out what use these lids did. Fisherman
Are the slotted ribs on the inside of the lid?

Tarzan's Jane
Rick, I would like to apologize for finding humour in another's response to your post last night. It was very insensitive of me but I truly meant no harm.

lloyd
I must admit that I will never see this place again, I posted a simple question--got very ingnorant answers-including the word toilet,,yuk... mod took over and erased horrible answers, thank goodness. I have lost total faith regarding OFC, used to be great and the best, now --I quit, have had enough!!!! Thank you to the mod who did the editing to the responses of my question. Good bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joey
Oh wah, it was a joke, we do that around here. Makes life a little easier to take sometimes. I know the joke that was put on here and it was pretty harmless. Sheesh, lighten up. Joey

Tarzan's Jane
Okay Okay! ............I'm sorry!!! ... doesn't anybody have a sense of humor anymore!!! Well you should be! I got in trouble because of you - and most likely will again. Rick, OFC, is great. A sense of humour will add years to your life. Stay and enjoy it....don't fret over the small stuff. solopaddler
Just like life you take the good with bad, in the case of OFC it's mostly all good. I wouldn't take things too personally.....
Greencoachdog
once opened, they become TWO fry pans. This is true! One for the bacon and the other for the eggs... also does double duty as a shallow dutch Oven. I'm sure there are other uses for this device that're only limited by your imigination.
