I started this cabinet last winter. The finicky drawers kinda got to me so I put it aside for a while...spring, summer, fall, finally got enthused around Christmas.

Hauling it like that, I would be taking the power head off. I used to till I got my otter. For that I put a bunch of eye bolts through to the inside at the bottom so i can strap stuff down for a rough ride

When we got into the heavy ice we would have 2 guys on an auger. You can zip through 3' with an 8" in no time. plus you get to stand there and compete at it a bit. tell your partner...come on push, wer'e almost there.

I wouldn't bother with power if I was only drilling a 6" hole, even with 3' of ice. I crack up every time I see this cordless drill thing mentioned.

I think 24 hour shifts is just milking an already lucrative job. Possibly I'm just jealous having to work 5 days a week. I see no need of somebody making 100k a year taking a second job when there is almost 10% unemployment. Dunno how this got to be about firefighters but this is my 2cents. PS, there is a law limiting how long you can drive a truck without rest...why not for fighting fires?
