  1. Why do you want to stud a 1994 503? For a 121" track you are going to need 96 studs minimum at over $3.00 each plus installation. The track is 15 years old and getting ripe. You will be lucky to not loose them the first time you nail it to cross a road. Unless you have a lake that you need to get to up an icy hill they will do you no good. Slow down earlier when you need to stop and don't go ripping across glare ice. you may be finding it slippery on lakes this year, but this is a strange year. I run over 2,000 miles a year and have never had studs.
  2. fergedaboutit...winter is beat. a sled trip this weekend then give me spring and open water
  3. pokes him with a stick and runs
  4. I have a 2' long piece of 1x6 with a v notch in each end. I wrap 150' on it. Keep the anchor tied on. I need to put a hand hole in it so its easier to hang on to for wrapping and unspooling. Another trick is to put a knot in the rope a few feet from the end so you know when to watch it pulling it up so as not to bang the anchor into the boat and scratch it.
  5. I wasn't going at you. I was going at the bringing it across the border deal, and then the just don't tell customs you have it when you know darn well its illegal got to me. With all the watch your limit, limit your catch, poachers should be strung up that goes on here, I thought I would take a crack at the bait smugglers...way more harm that taking an extra fish or two...or having an extra line
  6. With all the invasive species troubles why do people have to argue a law like that.
  7. Who knows what attached itself to this stuff in the new country. You want to bring it back across a border without being re-inspected. Maybe if you tell the flyin operator that you need 500 worms he can get them for you.
  8. Its not a joke..nice that you guys had fun but I can't stands the smell of them darn things unless its spring time and there are no other fish around for comparrison.
  9. Come on guys. We all know there are invasive species problems. Why bellyache about transporting a bit of bait, be it minnows or worms. Use what is in the area you are fishing just to be on the safe side. Does there have to be a law for you to use your head?
  10. It gives me a chance to bug my son...a getting even sorta thing
  11. I never realized that I should be changing gear case oil. The book said I should but I didn't realize it breaks down like that. I guess you could call it lazy. Blowing the idler bearings on the trail was because I was too lazy to loosen the track to check them in my shop this fall. I likely would have caught it then. The clutch was from over heating it..too fast for too long. I have been blowing belts and working towards the solution. Live and learn...9,000 miles on it...gotta expect a bit to wear out. Its for sale next year if you know anybody interested
  12. It wouldn't suprise me if you could get something out of them...I kinda think you should be able to...dunno..luckily I haven't been there
  13. You don't need a job...you can live pretty good off of welfare nowadays and you have plenty of time to fish
  14. I warped both primary clutch sheaves and siezed my drive chain...you gotta change the oil in the gear case once in a while.

  25. Worm Dangler...I need a sledding./fishing partner. I have a lake where we catch specs and lakers out of the same hole. But I won't go with just one sled either.
