Man, I can't believe so many of you are all over Chronzy. He is what he is and he makes no bones about it.He may be a little opinionated and crotchety. He may stretch the truth a little now and again, but isn't that part of fishing history as well. You know the old adage "a fish story" .... well, that may have well started with Chronzy LOL.As far as his shore lunches go I wouldn't mind joining him for a few. I like his articles in the "Ontario Fisherman" mag as well.I sure would love to own his property. WOW! I guess if I could only watch one it'd probably be The Next Bite. I like watcing them catch the toothy critters and Pete Maina seems like he'd be fun to fish with. Talk about a walking commercial though. Just had my first Johnsonville Brats on the bbq at Murphy's Point last week. Not bad actually. Also,Fish n Canada seems to get a bad wrap as well around here and of all the hosts I'd want to fish with Pete Bowman get's the nod as my favorite. I'm not even sure why. I just like the guy. He's very entertaining and down to earth. Seems like good people to me.Fish TV's Ron James (seems like great people too) and Leo Stakos seem to get little airplay, but have a really great balance between teaching and entertainment. I'd like the show even more if I could actually see it more. Get on board with these guys WFN! Shaun Rickards Urban Outdoor Adventures is also one of my favorites because it's educational, shows local areas ( that I have a chance of fishing someday) and has alot less hype and advertising throughout the show. Extereme Angler is also very cool, but in a completely different way. There's headbanging adrenaline and some serious bass action. Pretty hard to fall asleep during this show LOL. I wish there was a little less hype and a little more teaching, but if I'm in the mood this show can be enjoyable (especially having a couple drinks with a fishing buddy). Sorry BigBassRich, I'm not trashing your favorite show and maybe Karl could take a couple pointers from the Action Angling Crew. There are so many shows I enjoy, but most of the shows I like to learn from as well. I'm well behind most of you on this board in the experience and knowledge departments, so I try to take in (and make sense of) as much info as I can. So I look for entertainment but most importantly information. I just thought of one more show that I liked but it totally contradicts this , but I can't remember the name of it. The host looks like Conan O'Brien and he has some great destinations although a little far for me, but the photography was incredible. I love the Yukon pike episode. Somebody post the name of this show for me. Where did it go? Since this has been "dug up" im March of 2008 I'll have to add Simply fishing with Charlie Wray (one of my favorites now), the "New Fly Fisher" show and Dave Mercers new "Facts Of Fishing" show since it didn't exist before. Also the 2008 Extreme Angler shows seem better than ever with more teaching/adviice happening. If I could just shut up that tickertape thing at the bottom of the screen LOL.

Gorgeous looking musky. They definetely have there own pattern and colouration on St.Clair don't they? Hoping to get out there this year. Maybe I'll pm you someday for a couple hints. Thanks for posting.

It's a little farther but Murphy's Point Provincial Park. Great fishing no matter what you're looking for. My kids caught about fourty panfish each in a couple days there.

My first bait would be a spinner bait. Either chartreuse and white or a Northam perch pattern. I caught my last two wally's on spinnerbaits and although it doesn't seem to be the most popular bait choice for that species it worked for me. Bass also love hitting spinnerbaits. Another unconventional approach but probably the most fun is topwater. I caught a walleye (yes walleye) on topwater (chug bug blue/orange belly) a few weeks ago. Bass also love topwater so it's easy. Throw any of these baits and who knows what you'll catch? It's a surprise bag every time. If you're going to try crankbaits just match your depth. A ripplin redfin should work good for shallow with almost everything hitting these as well. If you're going deeper the wally diver or Rapala shad raps (like Cliff suggested) should work great. Maybe most importantly, pick what you feel comfortable with. Confidence means everything. Oh yeah .... have fun.

Congratulations Rich. Wow, a brand new addition to the Action Angling team. Isn't that absolutely the greatest feeling in the world. It's the most powerful thing in the world. It's instantaneous and still hasn't left me (my kids aren't teenagers yet I guess) . You'll never be the same bud. Congratulations on the greatest catch of all.

I'd agree with a spinner bait. I've caught three walleyes this year. Couldn't get them to hit on a crankbait??? Two were on a white spinnerbait and one was on a chug bug topwater. Go figure?

Pretty fish. One is better than none. Could be worse. You could've been at work. Hmmm, kayak and fish or work .......hmmm..................... tough one LOL.

In my area Valens and Mountsberg would both be decent choices. Otherwise you could hit the Grand River. It should be great anywhere south of Brantford. I'd avoid anywhere around Deseronto (BOQ) if I were you.

Congrats first time dad(and mom). I bet that was the most incredible day of your life. It's hard to explain to anyone without kids, but as soon as the baby is born you know what you are here for. The bond is instant and lasting and life will never be the same for you. It's a good thing. Treasure every second of it. It goes fast.

Wow, that's awesome! Pretty soon she'll be outfishing you. My son seems to get bigger fish than me (perch anyway). Hmmm! I better pay attention to what he's doing LOL. That fish has beautiful markings. Nice one fishergirl!

We were using minnows (which mostly caught perch), caught a pike on a blue/chrome ripplin redfin and bass were caught on perch patterned lipless crankbaits, one was Matzuo which I lost and the other is a cordell super spot in firetiger. We tried throwing a spinner bait, but strangely, no takers. Good luck.

I've launched out of Old Cut a few times (if you can call it launching with my twelve foot tinny LOL). It's not fancy there, but it's a relaxed atmosphere, they're decent people and they have good minnows too!

I bought two Northam Fishing spinnerbaits ( I think "perch" and "green bass" patterns) at the Spring Fishing Show and have been saving them for this weekend. They sure are "perdy". Hope they catch some fish.

Looks like a great time. I can't decide where to go this Sunday. Long Point? Port Maitland? Port Ryerse?Nanticoke?I think Port Maitland may win.
