I dunno if I'm just a horrible football watcher, but I was sitting there, and that guy Brady whipped it too looked wide open to me, and I'm thinking NOOOOOO he will pull it off, because he was completely in the clear, and then all of a sudden the guy on the colts just teleported right in front of him and sniped it. Yeah I definately know what you mean lew, and I wouldn't complain if the people who were calling were being nice about it, but the people who I had to deal with were just a step off of being barbaric about it. I totally don't have a problem with anyone calling, even if I've never met them, as long as they are polite. Edit: Got shouted at about something so I take that back nevermind.

Has anyone else seen that horrible Visa add where everyone is paying for their lunch with visas when the guy whips out his cash and everything is screwed up? I personally find that add to be a whole lot of bogus Bull, cash is still way faster than credit card at the cashier, but the sad part is alot of people today, especially my generation, think its somehow better to pay high interest (or bank charges) and use plastic EVERYWHERE.

I think the shows have gone down hill. I remember when I was a little kid, I went to the sportsmens show for the entire duration when we used to have a stand there but I just went off to do my own thing, look at all the lures, go to the oh i forget what fish it was, maybe trout or walleye pond they had there and fish with the little rental rods and maybe catch one and take it home. Warm memories you know. The year before last year during march break I went down to the show with my uncles and cousins, and it isn't anything like what it used to be. The whole aspect seems to be buy buy buy, and you have to pay for absolutely everything, and if your not buying something the people showcasing their goods seem to be really disinclined to talk to you

Edit: And heres a quick back story so it makes sense. Theres a small turn-around/gravel area thing across the road by the bridge near my house. In the winter, alot of people go there to go ice fishing. The majority of them (not all) don't clean up after themselves however, and take way too many fish. And then they have the nerve to call my house and do this: Honestly, we have had the phone ringing off the hook here for a few days now, and I didn't know whats up. Always just people asking for my mom or dad, sounding all irate about it too. Well today my dad was out at a meeting and my mom was outside somewhere, and I got about five phonecalls from random guys practically yelling at me to tell them how thick the ice is. I don't have a clue how thick the ice is, my dad measures it, and if people keep calling my house and this is how they are talking to us, I think I should start hanging up on everyone who I don't know on the phone. The worst part is that the general consensus of the guys who called didn't even care what I had to say, they just seemed really pissed of at me because I couldn't tell them how thick the ice is. To err on the safe side, I told them it wouldn't be a great idea to go fishing, and I got a whole chorus of well I'm going to be going anyways and you should know how thick the ice is, like its my job. I really wish these people, who are the same people that me and my dad have to clean up after every spring across the road, and who most of take well over their catch limits anyways would just stop calling, and if they really feel the need to call my house, they can stop acting like its their god given right to know whether the ice is good for fishing or not, especially if they are just going to go fishing anyways.

Not sure what the ice is like out here on the west arm, haven't checked the measuring stick for a few days. I'll get back to everyone.

Sweetness, i went with my family to Cuba a few years ago, we weren't really there for the fishing however, mostly just there to take on the stereotypical tourist role but; when we went over to a town for a day to meet the locals, one guy let me take a few casts with his rod off his dock, and I hooked some huge fish... which preceed to fight off and swim away. Hope you have better luck than I did haha

I'm with Greencoachdog on this one.

I don't really go fishing expecting to catch anything and that method works out for me. I just use fishing as an excuse to hang out with my friends, not work, eat a huge lunch, relax, or a combination of any of those. When I actually end up catching myself a few pike or even the odd waleye I'm pretty much ecstatic.

I can't wait till everyone shows up, you all liven up the place
