  1. Two weeks ago i just changed out all my seat post bases on my 1998 lund from wedge to the new clip in, clip out. I have a virtually brand new adjustable bass seat that goes to 31" I believe and a single standard seat post that came with the Lund Boats... Mike, I know the amount of fishing you do, and the boat you have..... Those wedge seat post mounts are horrible.....but if you can use either posts I have, let me know.
  2. I always have to advise, careful dealing with banks for insurance. What about Co-operators? They are a Canadian direct Insurer who act similar to a Farm Mutual, but with more size and better support.
  3. 21 years old. In "college" - which meant I was at home. Watching CH Morning News when the first plane hit. Followed it all morning. The world sure has changed.
  4. farm mutual companies. the rest of the insurance companies have the statistics that show insuring homes using wood heat is just asking for losses.
  5. check out the live stream video from a festive called lock'n https://fans.com/lockn Phish is playing now......
  6. nice choice in tune-age. ladies weren't bad either
  7. anchor feature is slick....in deep water. the sound, vibration, and general commotion that the anchor feature uses trying to stay anchored in windy conditions is horrible in shallow water (<10')
  8. G.mech Thank you for sharing that information....it is very eye opening.
  9. that must be regional Art. my cousins live in Texas and they have one big black garbage can that everything goes into.
  10. you are correct Dan.
  11. powerdrives don't hold their value as well as the cable drive models, as the pedals and other electrical often goes for a crap. Likely can still get $400 or so, depending on condition. Maxxums of the same age and power will bring a better return.
  12. GPS tracking system on the truck? Doesn't appear to have. Amazing what removing a battery from the truck will do to prevent theft. Security on the site? Guess not. Most likely an inside job. Upset employee (by far most likely scenario)? Competitor wanting to take out the best (which AT is)? "IF" they continue I bet they hire a risk manager (or if they have one, I hope they fired 'em). The ATV's will be replaced without question. As I said earlier in this thread, no insurance will pay for the trips to hunt and recapture. I hope this also serves as an eye opener for other businesses that operate in "priceless" goods.
  13. Can't spread out when the jobs aren't spread out. Jobs are in the big cities. So is the population.
  14. as for Hamilton LRT, while the Provincial and Federal (to a lesser degree) want to pump in over $1B in money for Hamilton's proposed LRT, Hamilton itself needs to come up with just under a matching figure. THAT CANNOT BE DONE IN OUR CITY. We CANNOT come up with a billion dollars of municipal money for the LRT. It makes 0 - and I mean ZERO sense. We need better Go Station access. We need direct trains to Toronto (Union Station) with no stops. We need more lanes on the 403. We need more lanes on the Redhill. Our social systems need major funding. Education. Housing. Geez. I can't even imagine putting a billion dollars of municipal tax payer money into a stupid LRT line going from Westdale to Eastgate. I'm a born, bred, and huge supporter of Hamilton....and always have been. If they build the LRT, that is the last straw. I will be outta here. Dumbest move, far surpassing the capping of Randals Reef or the Reconstruction of Ivor Wynne at the existing location - both of which are massive blunders to our city.
  15. I never said AT wasn't the best at what they do...they are!! But a world class operation doesn't keep irreplaceable items in a trailer. No Insurance company is springing for the owners of the stolen antlers to go on world class hunting trips to replace them.....
  16. Advanced Taxidermy charges an absolute fortune for their work. It is embarrasing that they would keep unreplacable items in a trailer. You can't even imagine what their profit margin is....its massive! Build an addition, climate controlled with fire suppression, if you want to be known as "the best". I hope they have some real explaining to do.
  17. good score!
  18. been pulled over three or four times in the 10 years i've owned my boat.....never had a trailer license plate light....never even been asked about it.
  19. yes, need a real full size 8 cylinder truck.... no V6's for that job.
  20. starcraft superfisherman are wide enough and deep enough to handle some of what Erie handles.... They fish much bigger than they are.... However, yes, if I was to live on Erie, or have Erie my primary waterbody, I wouldn't look at anything less than a 25' fiberglass boat. Sport Craft make awesome mid 20' hard top boats.
  21. starcraft superfisherman.
  22. considering the UN is declassifying Cannabis as a drug, that shouldn't be an issue. legalizing pot does not remove Canada's classification as a drug free country. eat it. grow it. smoke it. buy it. and here's a crazy idea....enjoy it. it doesn't have to be medicine.
  23. C3 is great. C4 was horrible. The C4 was actually almost useless, as the high gear ratio, and no guts, made it virtually useless for anything but rigger reels.... The old fake gold cardiff, which was a calcutta knock off, used to freeze and fall apart when we fished quinte....didn't hold up...most folks fish muskie late into the season..... a curado 300 works much better in tough conditions...used ones go for less than $200... maybe the new cardiffs are better than the circa 2005'ish Cardiffs.
  24. ok. that is a fair point. but the video doesn't describe what you have suggested. it shows a fire. fires can happen at any power generation station. (including solar). if anything fires are safer at wind turbines than any other form of power production as the fire cannot spread to 1st party or 3rd party property.
  25. drifter, what is the point of what you are showing? that fires can occur? I'm not sure the message you're trying to convey?
