price range? whatever it costs to get a 2003 and newer (preferably 06+) 17.5+ boat the prices on US boats is a lot better than here. i guess it's time to get a passport...
-
so, i finally decided to buy a 17.5 to 18.5 ft lund or princecraft walk through dual console for fishing big water. but, i am having a very hard time finding any used ones. ive tried classifieds on forums, kijiji, autotrader, buysell, dealers, etc. is this just the worst time of year for buying a used boat or are people happy enough with these brands that they keep em forever? any ideas?

i have no problem donating a couple bucks to help a kids team buy equipment and such. but, a trip to cuba? ill support that after i get my trip paid for...

when looking a threads where people have recommended different brands, nobody ever mentions yamaha g3 boats. i was checking out some used ones that are 2-3 years old and they seem like they'd be really good boats. im looking for a 17.5-18.5 fish/ski boat and its down to a lund or g3. how well do the g3's hold up? decent warranty? ride quality? which would u choose and why?

ok, so it doesnt matter which way you put the hooks on when you have spring clips? but, if you don't have spring clips then you should hook from underneath. does "up" or "down" affect the breaking strength of the hook?
-
so, is it better to have the opening of the hook facing up or down? a recent discussion with a buddy ended up with both of us agreeing to disagree... anyone know the answer? any links with actual proof (rather than grandpa says its bettet this way) that one is stronger than the other?

u mean its not a good idea to tell the world (online forums) about the great fishing on smaller lakes?
-
does anyone have first hand experience using automatic scalers? is it worth spending some money on a store bought unit? has anyone made their own? ill be using it for panfish...

the best thing u can do for your dog is get some revolution or advantage (ad advantix?). i think revolution is the better one, but both prevent some parasites, ticks, and fleas. give your dog a good rub and you'll usually feel any ticks. ticks can be everywhere, not just where deer or yotes live. do NOT yank them off if they have started to burrow. a couple matches or red hot steel kills em good...

Trailer wiring won't work on 2003 Dodge Ram
ch312 replied to splashhopper's topic in General Discussion
considering the wiring diagram is right on the 7 pin cover, you gotta be a bit "different" to wire it wrong...lol. i believe all rams that come with a tow package have both 4 and 7 pin connections. when i bought my 07 ram i remember someone telling me you need to be careful to avoid corrosion which could result in a short that wrecks an electronics controller. dielectric grease should be used on all connections to prevent corrosion and headaches... a short on my atv trailer (7 pin) made the headlights on my truck stop working? -
my little 14 ft tinner goes exactly 40km/h with a 15hp yamaha 2 stroke. you need a tune up on that motor and/or a new prop to get er goin

savage 10ml is a great gun. excellent accuracy and as far as i know its the only one designed to shoot smokeless powder. MUCH less cleaning and no cloud of smoke after the shot....
-
this probably has something to do with the fact that you're not suppose to run any new motor at a constant speed (or full throttle) until it's at least partially broke in...
-
LOL @ the lieberals...looks good on them :asshat: it took a long time, but i sure was glad to see that little number pass that 155 mark

nope. there's no way on earth i'm sharing this honey hole

caught in the brantford area about 5 years ago. i was just reviewing some old pics and figured i'd post it here for the 2nd time for anyone that's joined since it's original post. post some pics of your big gills

5-6 years ago i caught this in the grand ...

so i set the mixture at 1.5 turns out and it still only runs properly at half choke. i went each way about 3/4 of a turn and it made no difference. there's some oil on the plugs that i installed last year so i cleaned those up, but it made no difference. looks like i get to clean the carb today
-
my yamaha 15hp 2 stroke outboard idles very rough and will "cough" at idle and sometimes die because of this. it runs totally fine from idle to full throttle when the choke is at half. the fuel filter is spotless and i'm using new gas. i don't know squat about these thing's. where should i start? does anyone know the factory settings (# of turns out) for the mixture and idle screws so i can check those first?

i'm well aware that this is a discussion about the long gun registry, but your comment about handguns just makes me shake my head. you're supposedly a legal long gun owner, but you could care less about others losing their handguns. losing handguns IS the first step towards long gun confiscation. saying that we should ban handguns because we can't hunt with them is as stupid as saying you can't own a hammer if you're going to use it for anything but hitting a nail apparently i have a much better grasp of the current firearms related issues in canada. maybe you should do some reading about licensed PAL/RPAL holders having their firearms confiscated simply because big brother changed the status of different firearms. the fact that you referred to a firearms license as an FAC (it's been called a PAL since 1998) would suggest you aren't keeping up with current firearms issues. that's fine though...you can just sit back and keep voting lieberal while the rest of us legal firearms owners are fighting for our right to own firearms and to abolish the long gun registry so YOU can keep YOUR guns. the long gun registries ONLY purpose is to give big brother a list to make confiscation that much easier. you gotta have a few loose screws if you believe that the only reason we've been fighting the long gun registry for so long is to save taxpayers some money...
-
 let me get this straight. since we're not allowed to hunt with handguns in canada, you could care less if thousands of LEGAL gun owners had their handguns confiscated to be destroyed with ZERO compensation? the intended purpose of the firearms registry was to give the government a list of who owns what to make confiscation that much easier for them. you can't deny owning a gun if your names on "the list". banning handguns is the first step for the lieberals and their quest to take all of our guns away. if you support banning handguns, you're supporting complete firearms confiscation. take a look at austrailia and how the registry resulted in the confiscation of semi auto long guns. the same type of firearm that thousands of hunters use in ontario every year. any legal firearm owner that supports banning ANY firearm is an enemy to the rest of us legal firearms owners. you're either with us or against us. it's really that simple.

that's what i'm sayin... as i munch on a deer pepperette

thats the exact reason why many people are reluctant to post their fishing spots online and get angry when others post honey holes.... im goin to get my adapter today
