  1. They are easy to change and somewhat common to fail. I can't remember on the Cirrus if you need to remove much to access it. It will be on the transmission behind the radiator on the left side. Once you get looking at it you will recognize it from the diagram. It just threads out and to replace....thread it back in. Make sure you use the same type of washer/spacer as came out of the old sensor. The depth is critical for the proper spacing. Any good parts supplier should have this one in stock.
  2. If your speedometer dropped to 0 when you were still rolling it most likely a speed sensor. This also should have turned on your check engine light. The speed sensor is mounted in the transmission.
  3. I like listening to the local rock station on the radio. A little bit of everything is fine by me. But............ Listening to Headhunter and CCMT jamming after we went fishing this winter was the best.
  4. This one needs no explanation. A picture is worth a thousand words ? This one might reach twenty five or thirty.
  5. I'd rather walk than drive a Volkswagon. Poor quality and big money for repairs. Check out actual customer ratings. Most vehicles made today will get 300,000 km with proper maintainece, 280,000 is no big deal.
  6. It looks like a banner year for prop rebuilders at this point in time around here. We may be in trouble.
  7. One of the guys at my shop wiped out a couple weeks back (on the weekend playing) and ended up in the hospital. Couple of cracked ribs along with some other less painful injuries. I asked him if there was anything they wrapped him up in. Nope. Said they told him they stopped doing it as it sometimes led to pneumonia and other complications. He's doing OK now but still moving pretty slow. I'd tell you to suck it up G, but that would hurt.
  8. Oh boy, what is the world coming to. Very cool Wayne !
  9. Looks great guys, well done !
  10. Yep.....It appears like that one has a bad head gasket. Water is entering the combustion chamber and is mixing up water oil and gasoline like whipped cream.
  11. Yes, what Solo said ! Hope to see you at Lakair again Jack.
  12. Ya. It finally hit me too. Been out for two days but starting to come around. Hope it's better soon, need to get back to work.
  13. Hi Rob. Shocks do not change ride height. They are designed to absorb the energy of hitting a bump and reducing spring bounce. There are air shocks that you can add air pressure to adjust ride height but air bags last better. There are also several bolt on rubber stops that work very well, are inexpensive and easy to install. They only contact the spring when there is a load on your pickup so it wont affect your ride unloaded.. Good automotive aftermarket shops should have some makes to choose from for you. Just remembered the name of the ones I put on...... Timbren ...They work very well.
  14. Hi there. Been on the South Bay all my life. Which one did you get? If it's close to me I may be able to donate a couple of scenics for you.
  15. I am so glad for you Lew. It only gets better.
  16. NNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I'll wait for the fat lady.
  18. Hey Terry ! ATTABOY! Very nice fish.
  19. Hi Jacques. I have to give credit for where it is due. That last pic struck me as a good one too. That was one of Cliffs pictures. He has a very good eye for a photogenic capture. He took several others that were well done. I am hoping he will get the chance to show them to us all here.
  20. Joe, that wasn't a bunkie, that was the outhouse.
  21. Solo, Cliff is alive and well, he finally caught a pickereye while icefishing ! Chris, you will have to make the trip soon. Thank you Joey, we always have a great time. Roy it is becoming a traditional get together, we have jelled into a fun loving group of fishermen. Even more than annual TJ. Two or three times in a year. Like I said, we do enjoy the good times together.
  22. Hi folks. Here is a quick rundown of our fishing weekend, the others will add more in. The photos are from CCMT and myself here. Ger may be a little groggy in this pic, it was pretty early. Sitting back and relaxing. I did behave, but being the old guy in the group I needed an afternoon powernap. Hey, there were some fish caught. And no, it isn't the same one. well this one isn't really a fish, but it does show we were trying. Will brought up his no-name sled These two have never had the chance to jam together so we had a real treat. I love live music !!! (sorry about the poor quality, did it with my digital camera) The end of the day. Hope you enjoy them.
  23. Well done Tom. Some good snacks there!
  24. Thanks Jeff. I heard that it was supposed to go last year too but nothing came of it so far. Don't know if it will work in Loring or not. Still a few miles from Wolfe Lake.
