I wonder with the climate warming up if they will eventually make their way up in this territory. Not sure what they taste like yet but i bet they would be great done up in the deep fryer. Maybe bag one or two up there Irish and bring it to Lakair.

Most, if not all vehicles built today must go through a "drive cycle". After the battery is disconnected or ECU(computer) is reset. There are certain procedures that must be followed after a reset, some can take 40 minutes to properly attain after repairing or replacing parts. Thats part of the importance of having the proper information when working on or repairing todays vehicles. BTW, what was wrong with the vehicle?

I do feel bad for the bait dealers. My father sold bait years ago so I do understand a little about it all. But unfortunately this looks like the only solution at this time. On another board I read about a guy that was going to bring his own minnows up from the south because he was worried he couldn't get them here. Not sure he was aware of the ban or not but it goes to show the possibilities. It would be a disaster to spread any disease or non native critter to other areas of the province because of the selfishness of a non caring fisherman. Irish said it all above -Sorry but I cant jump on the band wagon this time.

Just from what i see here that if the vehicle started and ran then quit it appears to be an alternator not charging. Fuel pumps will "USUALLY" continue to run once the vehicle is running. And with the no crank/slow crank it suggests the battery is dead. Check to make sure the belt is tight on the pulleys too. Sometimes belt tensioners go bad and the belt slips on the alternator pulley. Let me know if I can assist you more.

Its on an island Irish..its why im going stir crazy..spent just about every weekend out there last winter. So far cant get there. A fellow on an island about a half mile away gave me a boathouse. Hes building a bigger one. Been waiting for thick enough ice to move it to my dock. Nice pics...The red sunset is sensational Nauti. Like you said..Makes you want to be there

Nipissing should be good to go this weekend..No pickups yet but sleds ok in normal travel areas.. Reports on ice thickness vary according who I talk to but it has stayed real cold here for last few days....Yahoo...about time!!

When you do find one and get to use it never even tap it on the ice. If you do it will bend the blades and it wont cut worth a darn. I remember doing this as a kid and almost got my butt kicked by my Dad! Come to think of it, I did.

We bring the outside stuff indoors(cars & trucks). The problem is though it starts to melt and we have a salt shower when we work. yukkkk
