  1. After building them since 1928 they have it down pat now. One of my uncles is 85 and still works on them 8 to 5 every day.
  2. You guys have been doing this since 97? wow.I have lots to catch up on!
  3. Hello everyone. Just thought I would send a couple pics on the assembly line up here where I live. This is my first attempt at posting pics. Thanks for your patience if it doesn't work. 1 more pic I will get this right yet!
  4. Fish Bay was wide open today--- no ice
  5. I know where you can buy a new cedar strip boat with no ads on it.
  6. Ouch- battle scar. I think if she were mine I would leave it be. Trying to remove a crease like that may cause stress marks in the paint anyway. An autobody guy may be able to tell you better.
  7. I work on engines and noisey equipment, listen to the doggone phone ringing, and occasionally my wonderful wifes tongue lash. When I go fishing I dont want to troll and listen to another engine running.Park it on a reef and catch a bucket of walleye. Nothing finer.
  8. Hi Mike...Lots of stuff pulled up---just like you though, old fishing line with lures on them and a couple old fishing rods and lots of Lake Nipissing clams. Thank goodness no Zebra mussels in Nipissing.
  9. I really love my Garmin Rino. Has lots of accessories available, maps are great, can take it anywhere and they send updates to my e-mail when they are available.
  10. O wow!!!! I wish we could catch fish that size on Nipissing.(they are rare that size here).Good stuff and great pics. -----Moosebunk, that was totally funny!!
  11. Thats a good point about the rod there Bucktail.I use a med action shimano crucial that works great with 8 lb test fireline. Just a light tug with a sharp hook is enough to catch the walleye.
  12. I am a little surprised at the fact that more of you dont prefer the braid. I guess its because I predomantly fish for walleye. I like the long casts, sensitivity and no memory on the spool of fireline. I havent used mono for at least 5 to 6 years..Maybe I should check some out again to see how much they have improved it.
  13. One foot waves and blue water for me. Dont really care much for the hard water. I enjoy winter at the cottage though. Nice fire and put my feet up.
  14. Nipissing was well on its way to freezing over...Now it is virtually opened up..There is still hope for opening day but we will need a real good blast of cold to do it..X your fingers
  15. In some parts of the Province, especially areas of mostly German decent, we commonly call them Block heaters.
  16. Hi Nautifish...You raised a very good issue....In the spring after the ice has gone from the lake you have no idea the mess that drifts into my bay...very sad indeed
  17. Two times its happened on opening day on Nipissing in the last few years-SNOW...Give me a top and a wheel.
  18. I could be mistaken Lew but I believe the whole thing is Yamaha-hence the Yamaha prop If your RPM is in the right range and it pops up on plane ok with no vibration It should be fine.
  19. A fellow I know came by my place couple years ago pleased as could be with his new 90 Mercury. He told me he preferred to buy North American products..He wasnt too pleased when I told him the motor he just purchased was a Yamaha. I chuckled to myself. He still got a good product.
  20. I think if you look close at the block you will find its a Yamaha engine-with a merc hood and stickers
  21. Hey Joey...Cmon...I was realllllllly close. I was within 4 or 5 miles. Isnt that worth an honorable mention????
  22. hey keram....NICE WORK!!! looks really good
  23. Was I even close??? OK, I give up...Where is it?
  24. Lower French river?
  25. Bought this Cris-Craft about ten years ago.It was in storage since 1959.It was like new. It had 2 1957 Johnson 35s that looked like they just came out of the box. I had it on the water (and in the sunshine) for two weeks and there wasnt a bit of varnish left on it. It wasnt much to fish out of but it sure was nice on on rough days. Kinda wish I still had it.
