1. I'm sure most of you guys aren't aware, but my wife Anitra is dying from cancer. She has been battling for a over a year and a half now and is finally succumbing to the evil that is cancer. Our two little boys (3 and 7) have been little troopers, but even they are suffering from the long standing battle. Many of the fine folks, who are amazing bait builders in their own right have graciously donated a number of baits in an effort to raise money on Anitra's behalf. While Tooth remains a pay to play site, Johnny has opened up the Bait forum so that anyone who wishes can participate in the auctions. If anyone wants to participate in the auctions by bidding or donating please feel free to visit Auctions for more info and to see the wide variety of baits on auction. Many thanks for your consideration. J.P. Braband
2. Go on the water past the signs all you want. They're there to warn you that hunting is taking place and if you trespass well, you should get the point or rounds more likely.
3. Lew, find your best price and get BPS to price match for you. You just need a printout from the other vendor's website.
4. The Recovery Well, yesterday was another interesting day as a salvage crew came to recover the sleds from the lake in front of my place. The guy who went through is a super nice guy who kept apologizing (and thanking us for the 911 call) to us and realized how, well foolish it was to head out. One of the funniest things that happened during the day was the hordes of sledders that came to watch. About a dozen at a time would stop by and all park beside one another (on about 3 - 4" of ice). we joked about lucky they were that the salvage crews were already there. Luckily nobody else went through. Here's an instructional video that I hope nobody will ever need.
5. Some folks just can't wait til it's safe. What an afternoon we had yesterday. or if this works.... <param name="movie" value=" <embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> Father and daughter each on their own sled. Better watch your trolling baits come spring time boys and girls. Four fire trucks, search and rescue, an ambulance, cop cars - geez what the neighbours must have been thinking was going on at our place. I shot the video from my bedroom window. My wife called 911. Buddy was standing on his sled to get as high out of the water as he could. How pissed do you figure his wife is ... taking his daughter on the ice already? I guess the salvage operators will be parked in my driveway this morning. The ice isn't as safe as you might think folks - please be careful.
6. Some skim ice south of the causeway and maybe in some quiter back bays, but not the main lake. We did get about a half inch of snow this morning.
7. You're really getting around Bill! Can't wait for our walleye supper No ice on the BOG now - won't be long though. I'll be seeing Stewart tonight or tomorrow about the boats.
8. Same here Ron, I'll take a ticket and please tell me how I can pay you.
9. I just got a 2000 Kodiak 400 this year and insurance cost me about $300 certainly way more than expected.
10. You might want to before it's too late! 395 PM's 764 kb some good info in there!
