  1. The shack looks great. Maybe if they weren't so darn heavy, I'd probably jump in one
  2. I should get commission from clam and milwaukee. Go electric and don't look back.
  3. I need to get my butt in gear.
  4. Thanks again all Soon it will be time to break out the barbie rod to catch more and bigger fish
  5. Thanks gents. Mike, yeah I was really hoping to catch the float dropping with a steelhead at the end of it. Unfortunately, I only went out a couple times and never got any on tape. Brian, I think there was some better shots but got lazy/tired and just used that one. LOL, who's right beside with those greasers? Lol. Likewise, it was nice to finally meet ya.
  6. Well gang, it was a fun 2015. Looking through my footage and hard drives, it appears I headed out on the water over 55 times. Started on Jan 2nd with ice fishing Simcoe lake trout and ended it on Dec 30th searching for Quinte walleye. The first half of the year was definitely nicer to me with great ice fishing and bass fishing. The salmon fishing was somewhat slow for myself but still made out okay. For the bottom half of the year, I didn't head out for steelhead much and walleye trolling was a fail. Here is a video I put together of my year. Enjoy
  7. I have the scotty rocket launchers, orca, striker, and power locks. The best are the orcas and striker. I have used the rocket launchers for dispeys but I don't like the amount of twisting that goes on with them with the pull of the dipseys.
  8. I used to use the powerlocks but now have switched over to the orcas and striker.
  9. I use the plastic ones from lund with no issues. Been using them for about five years for my rod holders for salmon trolling.
  10. Save your coin and DIY. I made mine myself. I have the lund seats and air ride posts on my main floor but the front deck butt seat I put together myself. You need three pieces. The post, the seat and the spider (connects the seat to the post). The seat I bought from BPS for $20 and it matches the colour of my other seats and boat. The spider I stole it from an extra seat that I currently don't use (this you may not have the option for, but since you only inquired about the post, I assume you're okay). And last but not least the post... I purchased a 2 3/8" aluminum tube from the metal supermarket. I then cut it to the length and voila! I had a fixed post that cost me under $30? I forgot the exact cost since I used the post for other things too. It not adjustable, but its not $400...
  11. Had tons of fun this past ice season with many family and friends. Got to bring out my two nieces to try fishing for the first time and they had a hoot from just being out there. Here is a quick video recapping my ice season. Might not be as entertaining for you, as it is for me. Great memories
  12. Here are a couple of videos I've done with some GoPro's.. I record mostly in 1080. FPS varies between 24 to 120. Editing with Adobe Premiere Pro.
  13. Probably so. The best I've done in my 08 GC was 8.4L/100 while driving from Toronto to Ottawa on Highway 7, doing 80-90 km/hr. However my avg mixed is about 11L/100km with a pretty heavy foot.
  14. I had three motors in the boat, main, kicker and trolling. Booster cables in case. It would really suck to be stuck on a big Lake and the weather turn bad... Like a storm rolling through on Lake O..
  15. Same here. I carry a set of booster cables in the boat. Make sure they are long enough too.. Last year my starting batteries (at the back of the boat) drained somehow and the jumper cables were too short to reach the front where the trolling motor deep cycle batteries were. I could have brought the deep cycle further back to boost the starting batteries but I didn't want to bother untying everything and carrying it to the back. So then I just used my kicker motor to get back to the launch. Took about 15 minutes. When I got back to the ramp I had longer jumper cables in the truck and I was able to boost the starting batteries no problem.
  16. You can take a look at Curtis point cottages
  17. Thanks all for the kind words! Glad he liked it. For the youtube video, you just copy and paste the URL and it shows up in the post The leader i have on is quite long, 20-30ft. It is a must? I don't think so, but it doesn't hurt. I have yet to have my leader break on me for ice fishing.
  18. Its been a while since I've made my last video. This video was for back in January when I first acquired the Angler's Choice Sniper Shad. I just so happened to stumble upon this lure at tackle shop and thought I'd give it a try, as another option to the X-zone Swammer. Only a couple fish landed but a day out is better than a day in.. Hope you enjoy, and I hope I can pump out some more videos (too much work and no time for play!).
  19. Thank manjo39 and Jeff! I have a big buddy but I don't mind picking up the portable too
