  1. Thanks guys. To note it's not on the rod yet, just loosely assembled on a steel turning mandrel. When installed on the blank the reel seat and butt cap will be dead center in relation to the cork handle.
  2. Or never will. Nice going on your success Pangle!
  3. Great picture , not sure there are many of them floating around from trail cams.
  4. Good eye Bill, yes Ernie did do the seat, I did the matching butt cap. Thanks Phil.
  5. Just finished this a few minutes ago, totally fishing related though not a lure.

  7. Best suggestion..... Open the crack larger, flood the basement and stock it with fish.
  8. Wow, a nearly two year old post from my cousin brought back to life and TEP is even in there. You two still alive?
  9. No problem Sir, you're still younger than I.
  10. Oh yes, the big "51," have a great day Bud.
  11. Just say when Geoff. As for the wood work, I can't take credit for the design, that belongs to a friend of mine.
  12. Thanks Paul, appreciate it. Lot's of my rod pictures have floated around the board over the years and a few are available in the "Members Business Directory."
  13. Hopefully I'll have it perfected at that time Roy. Just to note the front reel foot hood on these type of seats is hidden beneath the cork like this.....
  14. Thanks for all the comments on the flies folks. Here's my first attempt at making my first wood reel seat for a float rod (I know it's not bait/lure making, but it is totally fishing related). It is only in the rough stages at the moment and needs to be refined somewhat but overall I think not bad for a first go at wood turning.
  15. It'll be an awesome weekend whatever the weather does Cliff, can't wait!
  16. If I had the talent to stand in the shoes of anyone of these band members I wouldn't be here posting now! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/EIOT8qISH3A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> In the mean time keep playing Cliff, half songs and all. Oh and pray for more rain, we'll need it!
  17. That'll work just fine Cliff if you arrange it for next weekend.
  18. Tragic indeed! My condolences to you and your family Simon.
  19. I'll let it slide this time Tyler but next time....NOT! Great recap of some great fishing.
  20. Oh that's just so wrong Mike. I too had young'ns many years back and would get those songs stuck in my head, it's all good. Just don't play them on the boat for your friends....
  21. Wore out a few copies of vinyl (yes I'm aging myself ) playing this track over and over in my Timothy Leary days..... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/gUtRuTgc_IM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  22. No, but you may want to put some sheet aluminium (spaced off the frame a 1/2 inch) in the corner behind the wood stove or leave that lower corner free of insulation.
