The confidence is strong in this one

Without having had a look at the regs, I would agree with you. If they ended up being checked by OPP marine, I somehow don't think a quickly made up agreement is going to cut it and could land your buddy in hot water. They'd do better to spend the few bucks and rent a boat from a marina. I don't even want to think about the liability issues they open themselves up to. This type of arrangement is not something I would entertain myself.

nah, looks he dropped them in the boat seconds before he made like Phelps. guy earned his tip if he was the guide

sounds great Kevin ! but swimming on the 2/4 ? would never have imagined that happening.ever

I'll admit that a couple of days ago I went to JB's and got some VCM hooks and a couple of pencil weights (and my first spool of fluoro.ever) even though I used regular terminal last year. Don't really see a need to buy a drop shot specific rod and will stick with my current rods but I'm also thinking of using the ultralight for a change

BB, Most places here are already using PIN and all my transactions (cedit and debit) are pinned. Still gotta shield the keypad when inputting the PIN though...makes one less likely (fingers crossed) to have probs if your card is skimmed.

I probably would since you may not get favourable exchanges at gas stations, corner stores etc.. May only be a few bucks overall so ymmv.

You can try the foot of the Rouge near the lake. There's parking on the Scarb side (and shld be some Pickering side as well, not sure) but not sure what's in the water but it sounds like it's less about catch and more about getting out with your daughter and her Dora rod. Nice mellow place from what I remember. Also a nice beach nearby if she gets bored

Consider it an early heirloom gift for your soon to be fishing partner

Google would be your friend and don't overlook the West Arm of the Nipissing as a destination either. A VERY beautiful area and SO much water to explore/fish. There's also the Lakair G2G in June as well.

Fished Wolseley Bay, a beautiful area. Prop busting rocks at some spots during low water levels. Stayed at Totem Point Lodge (has a certain, charming je ne sais quoi) but they could use more power behind their boats (was 15 hp Yamahas a few years ago). Wolseley Lodge seems popular as well. North Channel- stayed at Moonlight Bay Resort, very nice accommodations. Pike fishing was good, can't speak to walleye. Haven't fished Upper or Lower French but buddies had some good eye fry ups during the 2/4 on the Lower. Heard it could be prop busting as well. They camped but would go with Bear's Den Lodge if they went with roofed accommodation. Have fun if you do make the trip.

Hope lightning doesn't sparking anything up that way. Been years since I've been to Dryden. -
saw this on a Twitter feed from the Weather Network. Stay safe out there this long weekend. "Severe tstorm warnings around #Dryden #Ignace. Large hail, damaging winds, heavy rain and an isolated tornado possible."

here ya go RHF Would like to have gone up for my first G2G but may not be able to swing the time. It'd be the perfect place to pick up tips and hear some extremely tall tales

While it's a big chunk of change, maybe this is a sign that you need to upgrade. Perfect excuse to get a new Yammy. Talk to your accountant, if you have one, and see how much can be written off, could ease the pocketbook pain.

Indeed it does take away *some* of the experience but I sure as hell wouldn't want to be nailed with a huge bill because a stray spark lit up the near north. One would also probably face charges as well if it could be proven where the fire started. As well, a pail of water would most likely be a bit inadequate if a conflagration started. You'll have a better weekend up north sans fire, than me stuck in the city working on Monday.

Had a cover made at Alpine Canvas up in Mattawa (pretty sure Giesler uses them...Bernie ?) but can't remember what material they use. Only seen 2 seasons so far. Boat stored in garage during winter. Covers are especially useful if one has a wooden boat and wants to keep the varnish (yes there is uv stuff) from darkening. Also great for keeping the boat dry during downpours. I figure spend the money now or spend it later.

Friends on the lake suggest things could move at snail's pace as there may be some historical/ burial issues to deal with possibly. or something like this... and he thought the bridge, while an interesting idea, would be a mega expensive endeavour with more hurdles one can shake a stick at.

Super sweet boat. If this were a car, it would only have been driven on Sundays to church
