  1. I sure don't think so. Simcoe can give up some big bags but not with the consistency of 1000 Islands and Erie. At last year's 3 day 1000 Island Open the Johnson's won it with just over 79lbs(the year before was almost 76)! The amazing thing is the amount of big bags...the 63.45 that won the Bronzeback would have been 14th place on the St. Lawrence! That's crazy impressive that so much weight is coming in 3 days straight. I'm not taking anything away from the impressive weights the top teams weighted in at Barrie. Every lake is different and every tournament brings different conditions.
  2. Congrats Steve. Way to battle the tough day two wind and stay above 20lbs. Those are the days that can bugger up a good tourney pattern.
  3. Red LED lights work great and don't give you night blindness. If you're using two 12V batteries for your 24V troller that doesn't mean you can't wire your lights to one side for 12V!
  4. I believe so, yes. Which isn't so bad if he can carefully remove them.
  5. From what I've read the discoloration is not on the outside and guys have tried that without success.
  6. From what I've read your're basically out of luck. The marina is correct that there are no replaceable lenses available and this is a fairly common issue with these older gauges. The problem is with the inner lens and not the outside cover. Guys have CAREFULLY pried the covers off and simply removed the foggy inner lens. Because those gauges are not factory sealed( ie nitrogen filled) units, you just have to be careful not to damage the seal which is really only a rain guard anyway. Good luck.
  7. I vaguely remember someone telling you not to worry about the water temp for largies and fish swallow. lol
  8. More power, always more. Plus the 24V system will give you much greater battery life.
  9. Grampa used to catch fish without a graphite rod too. Doesn't mean they're not useful or better than the old technology. But I agree, if you're not going to bother to learn how to use the technology or feel it's unnecessary, don't buy it.
  10. Ark...you've activated the launch sequence!
  11. Frankly, I'm surprised that people place fuel mileage so high on the list of what defines a good truck. I pay the same price as everyone else and can honestly say it's way down my list of what's really important. One repair bill can to easily negate any possible savings realized. I had two separate mechanics suggest I avoid Dodge Rams and I did. Who knows? I feel bad for Gmech though...nasty pics.
  12. Good mileage, but be fair, how much of that distance is while being towed?
  13. That's too cool. On really hot days you can sit in there too! It's a redneck jacuzzi!!! lol
  14. I'll bet it feels good blowing pass him eh Brian??!! LOL Sorry man, I tried to resist!
  15. It's more of a pond..maybe 300m in length. It's just east of town off Forest Road. My guess is Forest Motel for the win! lol
  16. That would be a sight to see! lol
  17. Yup. That's why I asked make and model. I'd call service, they'll know. If Kingston doesn't help, call a different dealer.
  18. Awesome! I got a ride in one as a kid. I still remember driving down the boat ramp and out onto the lake! lol
  19. That's for sure.
  20. Yeah I know but since I can't control who reads these posts I thought I'd say that to remove their temptations! Lol
  21. Just checked the results online. Strange year. Looks like Rideau was a tough bite. You'll kill it on the big river this weekend...you always do. Winds ok out of the south as of now. Good luck.
  22. Sure it will. Just leaves the keys to the big motor in the truck and you're fine. I have fished and know lots of guys that fish Guelph Lake(no gas motors) with bass boats that have 250's hanging off them. Just run the electric, trim up the big motor and don't have the keys handy.
  23. Nice to have you around David. And good luck this year with Renegade! Unfortunately, this year I will not be fishing and contributing to your winnings! lol
