  1. You hope they perform to flip for a pick
  2. Explorer is a terrible browser.
  3. Hands down the xi5, has a few quirks but overall imo a much better motor. I run a 36v system on my 18'. Overkill but it lasts for ever, not that id ever use it at this speed, but it topped out at 4mph. If your partial to humminbird and want the link features, then terrova. Its still a good motor, just a tad slower abd nosier. But the build quality is slightly better. Also no track record on durability of the xi5
  4. I use an hds 8 off my boat. Which is overkill but i didnt want to buy a separate finder. Id recommend the helix, pretty cheap. Not sure if its still like this but amazon in canada had them listed at american prices same with a few other marine items. I picked up a point 1, he picked up a helix, nice little unit if you dont need networking. I wouldnt bother with chirp.
  5. A few of them have little to no forage, kawagama for example, the fish were tiny, light in colour, some looked sick
  6. Looking at having one made in hopes that it lasts longer than my Lund cockpit covers that has started to tear everywhere and thin after 4 years. Any recommendations on a shop or fabric i should consider? I keep the boat outside when in season, and from dec-apr its stored indoors. So it does see sun and the elements for half a year.
  7. That area is pretty tough for size, on kawagama, i boated a bunch but none were over 2lb. Most came in 6-12fow by rocks on topwater, wacky rigged senkos, and dropshot. Never fished that lake before though, cant offer any spots
  8. I wouldnt even go as far as saying extreme conditions, both my consoles on my newer lund cracked and were replaced under warranty, one was untouched, the other cracked far away from the mount. Could have been the cold, but for safe measures id highly recommend some sort of backing that doesnt rot. Quality on most boats just isnt there anymore.
  9. Cutting board for backing
  10. Definitely a net. Frabill Big Game, or the Power stow and replace the mesh with the big games, pricier but saves some space.
  11. I love my si, i mark spots and fish them with my xi5 later. It may not be worth it for if you dont get out often because you use up alot of time exploring, less time to fish!
  12. Awesome, a friend of mine has a place there, have boated a few trout, nothing big but a fun experience as i never fish for them in the summer
  13. 1-3 lbers. Im looking for the 4-6+ i find on Erie/Ontario/Simcoe lol, although their more difficult to find
  14. If you know where to go, action is continuous, not so much size wise but quantity. Youll be looking for rocks. Where i go, i can dropshot right under the boat and consistently pull them up, wish the size was there, but it makes for a fun outing
  15. Those are both the same model.
  16. Lol, i doubt you will have the same problem, its been documented a few times on other forums, in saying that Asus routers are probably the best on the market. Whats your budget?
  17. I run an asus, its great except when it comes to mobile devices a floor up, for some reason it constantly cuts out, and i run Merlin firmware, odd because with the laptop its fine. Gave up trying to figure out what was wrong with it.
  18. I'll be up there last week of July, first week of August. Never have much luck on clear but I'm going to put more time on it. Stormy and restoule produce some nice skis.
  19. Try cross, i caught some really nice fish there last year. Sort of out of the way though.
  20. Awesome, i love the area. Although i havent had to much success, i try to visit once a year. Have yet to try totem though, ill keep it in mind for next visit
  21. I vertical jig blade baits with success
  22. Nice catch, im hoping to get out on Erie this weekend, weather permitting
  23. My one bank stays flashing yellow, i assumed thats why my lead melted. Water is full. I dont think an equalizer will change anything. I will prob bring it to be load tested.
  24. I have a similar issue, one battery out of my 3 is always charging, had the charger replaced under warranty (not because of the issue, one of my leads melted) , same issue, so its obviously the battery. Doesnt make much sense though because after 6-8 hours of charging, if i take a volt meter, the one battery shows 12.69v (tested it 24 hours after), its only 2 years old.
  25. Id recommend HH, ill be at gloucester pool for the whole weekend. Dont usually do too well there though.
