  1. Was skunked on the kawarthas. Didn't even see one. Temps were in the low 60's as well.
  2. Damn, maybe I'll save my $80, expensive bracket.
  3. Mine throws a big rooster too, they fixed it on the totalscan transducer which uses a newer bracket. I have to pick one up as it's compatible with my lss-2. Water turbulence is most likely the issue, these long ones don't like to be mounted below unlike the skimmer transducers.
  4. Not the same transducer, but similar in size, my lss-2 is mounted about 1/8" above the bottom of the hull. But it's only used for down and side imaging. The manual for the total scan states to mount even with hull so I would try raising it a tad.
  5. Nice baits, I may be interested in a few, have to check my inventory
  6. For a boat I'm helping with, trying to source black starboard that's slightly bigger than what's sold in stores (BPS 12x4x3/4). I'm looking for 14x4.25x3/4, needs to be bigger to cover some scratches lol. I've called a few places and none would do it. Would only sell a whole sheet. Boat Outfitters, an online store will do it and ship from the states, but I figured I'd try local first. Thanks!
  7. I upgraded a few to Boca abec 7, noticed a small improvement in distance, also a big difference in ease of casting. What I don't like is the noise. This put me off upgrading the rest.
  8. Even the battery for the brake controller, a few bucks more i got a whole new setup from princess auto with a box that has a button i can press to see if the battery is fully charged or not or if its charging.
  9. Yes it is, but the princess auto are standard assemblies which Cerka has for 48. Best i could find for self adjusting was also there for 82. From the usa it comes out to be 55 cad less for 4 assemblies after tax and conversion so that's what i went with. Im surprised they even sell parts for these when the whole assembly costs a few dollars more.
  10. Thats a pretty good price even with shipping on their self adjusting assemblies. 50 less total than any canadian site ive seen shipped to my door. Decided just to order all new assemblies, also stuck with the self adjusting over the standard assembly. Thanks!
  11. Have an enclosed Neo Trailer to haul my sleds, noticed the brakes appear to be barely or not working at all this year. Does this magnet look to be the culprit? Not sure whats considered worn for these. If not, they are Dexter Nev-R adjust brakes, looks like they will need adjusting or just a whole new assembly, only $30 more than the magnet itself. Thanks!
  12. I launch at village marine, good launch. Have never caught or seen a musky yet in the honey harbour area but have heard their there. Good luck!
  13. Sweet report, one day ill fish that area, furthest up ive made it was white river.
  14. I use merino wool as a base, icebreaker to be exact, synthetics will have an odor rather quickly. Sizing wise i would suggest to try it on, i went by the charts and they didn't fit well. Im 6'1 240 and wear a 2xl shirt.
  15. This was rumoured quite a while ago. I don't shop at either anyways, can source my fishing gear for less practically anywhere else.
  16. Nice catch. Ive caught a few big ones in the area, one of my favourite parks
  17. There are musky in there?! Lol, i was there a few weeks ago, fishing was pretty good outside wolseley bay. Like tom said, watch for rocks, water levels are down.
  18. I sold my terrova for what i paid after 4 years use lol. Power drives take a pretty big hit.
  19. Essentially, mine would die right after first start up cold.Only way to get it running would be to rev the motor in neutral for a split second and then after its perfectly fine, no issues from idle to wot. Or i could crank it for like ten seconds and it will stay running. If its still hot it starts up no problem. The diaphragm is a common problem in optimax motors, i inspected the fuel side, not air, high psi spring inside.
  20. Having some issues with my opti starting/running. Its a 2011, 115hp with about 135hrs. Does this look like enough damage to the diaphragm to cause problems, this is from the fuel side of the fuel rail.
  21. That sucks, looks like ill be sticking to the french and west arm then for my trips. Odd having a restriction, there pretty big lakes with cottages being on clear and stormy.
