  1. I had high hopes that they would find this child safe. My worst fears have come to light. My heart goes out to the family and friends. Yet again, my kids will get another extra hug tonight. HH
  2. So, as a sportsman, I guess I'm going to have to convince the next minnow I use as bait to self impale itself on my hook. Anyone got a good book on how to become a fish whisperer? Sometimes you guys make me laugh... sometimes you guys make me HH
  3. They do that Gerritt when you hold them by the eyes! And that my friends, is my 3000th post here! Bah ha! HH
  4. Firstly, if your boat is small, you are gonna have to pick your days on BOQ. Being on Big Island, you can easily troll Big Bay. It's a relatively flat bottom, in the 15 to 25 ft depths. Run 3/8th oz crankbaits as close to the bottom as possible and run the length of the bay. Use your planer boards. If you have lead core, it makes it easier to maintain bottom contact. Again, and I can't emphasize this enough, it's big water that can blow up very quickly, so be very careful. HH
  5. Gerritt... that was a response of EPIC proportions! HH
  6. I don't believe anglers can deplete a fish stock. Commercial netting and netting by "others" will deplete stocks. I think the real issue should be finding a way to get the "general" population to stop supporting these netting tactics, by not buying the fish. HH
  7. Hey Bernie, who's the h.......y! Man do I ever like that pic! You sir are very lucky to have so many incredible pics of your family and heritage. I know you consider yourself to be privilaged. I forgot to thank Gerritt for arranging etc... GERRITT... it's you, your good! No no, it's you... you! YOU!!! HH
  8. Lenses are essentially the key in sunglasses, with glass lenses described as being best. Polarization is simply a coating appiled to the lense after it has been created. That is why it is so important to use the proper cleaners when cleaning your lenses. HH
  9. Hard to eat a fish that gets bounced off the motor on a "delicate" release! HH
  10. MMmmmmm date squares! Thanks again Bernie and yes, do pass along our thanks to your Mom for going out of her way to add that little extra to our stay. HH
  11. Check out Maui Jim's... they also have an assorment of lenses to choose from. HH
  12. I asked Gerritt to hold the squirrel by the eyes, but no, he insisted on the verticle hold! Could not believe the number of marshmellows that squirrel had in it's gut! As usual. we had a blast! Good folks, good laughs, good fishin and good times! What more could a man ask for... ok, maybe that, but yet another epic weekend at Bernie's! Thanks again B and G! And Cliff, I would have done the report for yah! You could have left the watergoat shot out of the report... unless and until I get a shot at embossing Evinrude across it's side. FnS... that suit make yer ass look big! LMAO! HH
  13. Laughing was most definately a no no! And as we got older, the spoon became far less intimidating... that's when my dad decided to try out the fan belt... no laughing matter there at all! HH
  14. My Mom would get even angrier after she broke the wooden spoon on my behind. "Look what you did to my spoon"! That was always my cue to tuck and roll! HH
  15. Well, I had high hopes that a level of decorum would prevail, but alas, I was once again incorrect. One can still hope though, can't they. HH
  16. Funny how a thread I started to help out my fellow members, ie avoid down town, has once again been hijacked into a promoting one's political opinions. None were asked for, none were required. Start your own thread! Thanks guys! HH
  17. It appeaars they are serious this time! Walking around at lunch, I noticed uniforms from all over the province. OPP and T.O. cops together, court officers, you name it. HH
  18. Happy B-Day Joey! I hope ya have a great one! HH
  19. are everywhere in the downtown core this morning. It appears as though they are positioning themselves for the rally going on at Queens Park. Here, at Bay and Queen, we have two bus loads of ETF, dozens of riot equiped police ... so, if you don't have to come down town today, don't! HH
  20. Awesome Wayne! I recall you talking about this while we were ice fishing, nice to see it come together! So, how long of a flight is it to that Brookie lake? You're gonna have a blast with that set up this summer! HH
  21. Linda Ronstad doing Patsy Kline! That just "crazy" man! HH
  22. Well Wayne, it just might be! My thoughts in posting this here were simply to let my brothers and sisters here, have a listen. I thought the kid did a great job and my co-worker here, an absolute "I have Johnny Cash tattoo'd to my butt" fan was amazed. Actually everyone I sent this to had the same reaction... pretty amazing for a 15 year old. My back got up when of course, some folks here decided to shoot the kid down, rather than "enjoy" the clip as my original post suggested. I don't think I asked for your opinion, I simply suggested that you enjoy! And before some of you jump all over that statement, please don't. I will be much more careful about what I share here from now on. Not because I don't want to share, but because I would rather not give a some a forum to display their continual negativity. HH
  23. Glad you liked it Carol... lookin... thanks, my feathers are doing fine. HH
  24. After careful consideration, I think your right... he sounds more like George Michael! How you came to your conclusion that I was baiting the community is beyond me... I was simply sharing this... I guess I'll know better for next time. Tiller! HH
