I have never been to the store as I live in Barrie, it's a little too far of a drive for a few fishing items. That being said, I have spent a fair amount of money there. I call them tell them what I'm after they help by making suggestions and then mail it up. Never an order messed up, never any damage, everything as you would expect. They set me up with a Shimano Talora rod (i had a reel), Spin doctor and fly combo which I caught my largest (to date) salmon on, a 23lb King. I am very impressed with the quality of service and knowledge from the staff. Kudos!!

Thats funny! FYI Rules # 7. Each person in a boat must be registered in the Festival or their daily catch will not be eligible nor shall the catch taken that day by any other fisherman in the same boat, whether registered or not, be eligible. 11. Any entrant who uses anything whatsoever to attempt to falsely represent themselves or the fish they have caught shall be immediately disqualified from this and future Festivals. All prizes and awards will be forfeited back to the Festival.

They have been proposing this for the last 4 or 5 years but with the long gun registry fiasco they were waiving this fee. Guess it's now here. last year upraded fom the grandfathered' POL to PAL because of the talk of reintroducing the fee.

Sorry to hear about your Friend. I heard about that on the news (assuming its the same incident). Unless I recognise the car or the people standing around and if I'm told that all is under control I move on. Some times too many people and cars parked on the side of the road can cause another accident. I am also not trained as a first responder.

and, don't forget overpopulation... To some extent this isn't a bad idea. I mean how much of our ecomomic aid, our tax dollars, are leaving our country to help others? Maybe they should enforce these sanctions to a reasonable level in many countries? Just my 2 cents - I am no economist or political expert by any means...

We stayed for a few days at Algonquin Trails Campground just outside the west gate on Hwy 60 ( http://algonquintrailscamping.ca/ ) Nice base camp. Then we did day trips form there. PM me for more info if you like.

I never comprimise looks for safety, I don't care what I look like while fishing. What matters is comfort and safety. Anything float is better than nothing. 2 piece in nice for driving in your car, sitting in a heated hut, any time you would remove your coat. 1 piece is better for standing out, cold days, going for an ice swim, etc... I comes down to your needs. Good luck with the purchase. pretty cheap life insurance as far as I'm concerned!

You guys have all missed it. Look at the feral hog hiding up the hydro pole. He is trying to trick the hog into thinking he is fishing, once he has the opportunity out comes the 30-06.
