225 hp at the prop would be more than, not less than 225 at the flywheel.

Are you sure that they were not brook or silver lamprey rather than baby sea lamprey?

Price didn't help his post season reputation today. Five runs in three and third innings. His post season reputation may be a monkey on his back.

A man tells his wife that he is going to the grocery store and asks her if she needs anything. She says to him, "Buy a quart of milk and if they have avocados get six." When he returns he puts 6 quarts of milk on the table. The wife then asks him "why did you buy 6 quarts of milk?" To which the man replies, "they had avocados!"

It seems quite common for people to think that Rogers should be willing to lose money on the Jays because they have lots of money from other operations. I don't subscribe to that logic. I think each decision needs to make sense on it own merit. The condo project is an investment that they hope will return a profit. Walking EE last time setup the double play. Walking him that time would have advanced a runner from 1st to 2nd and loads the bases. Moving the runner to second could result in a run if the runner on third was thrown out trying to score. Loading the basis also sets up the possible walk off walk for a hitter that does tend to walk a lot.

There is no hard salary cap. But there is a luxury tax. I would dispute the claim that sabermetrics didn't work. Oakland did make the playoffs a few times while paying a much lower salary than other teams. He was probably saving his closer until he got the lead. In hind sight, it appears to have been the wrong decision. The game may have remained tied a little longer if he had put him in.

What if an offer approaching market value was not in their budget? Do they insult him with a low ball offer? Perhaps they had no intentions of signing him because they knew that an offer approaching market value was not in their budget. Yes, EE's value has gone up. But that could have gone either way. In fact, in Jose's case, I think it did. Jose Bautista may be worth less now than he was at the start of the year. I am not sure what if any negotiations they had with EE & JB last year; perhaps they were just not willing to sign for an amount that the Jays were willing to pay.

Your comment makes sense if you have an unlimited budget. But the Jays are operating with a limited budget. They signed Happ, Estrada, Chavez and another reliever for about the same price as Boston signed Price. If they had signed Price instead of those four pitchers they would have been out of the post season altogether. It would be great to see them back. But the limited budget comes into play here too. Stroman, Sanchez, Pillar, Osuna, Travis, etc. are all going to be need to be eligible for big raises in the coming years. It's pretty easy to say just throw tons of money at all these players; but there is a limit to what they're going to spend on the team.

According to the link, it's doing chores around the house.

This may help you negotiate a little more fishing time with 'the boss'... or, maybe not. http://www.medicaldaily.com/more-chores-husband-does-more-likely-marriage-will-end-divorce-242815

Or, 163 if there is a tie.

Big win tonight. They certainly made it interesting though.

did I hear correct that Le Baron's is closing?!?!?

Yeah, I was there yesterday afternoon. I had picked a few things; but I put them back when I saw the line up to pay. -

I don't consider them to be a big box store. But they are not a ma and pa shop either. They are somewhere inbetween. -

LeBarons is Canadian. So, they are not taking profits out of the country. If they close than some their business may be picked up by some of the retailers that that really do take profits out of the country. -
I would also think that a gill net would be skewed towards fish that are more likely found in open water. I doubt that they drag their gill nets through lilly pads or around stumps and rock piles where bass are likely to be found.

I don't own Simms; but my Cabelas brand neoprene waders are more than 20 years old and still don't leak. What are you buying; or, what are you doing that they leak after a few trips?

In the attached link, the guy mentions that people had threatened to kill both him and his wife... even though is not even married.

Salmon and Lake Trout Stocking Reductions for 2017
John Bacon replied to PUMP KNOWS's topic in General Discussion
I am sure there are a few who agree with you. But most people, at least in regards to Lake Ontario, seem to want to go the opposite route. A lot of people want the MNR to move away from native species such as lake trout and Atlantics and stock more non-native coho, rainbows, browns, and Chinook. -
I think they can tell from the DNA; unless the fish was released without taking a sample. But, is there actually a regulation that national record fish have to have spent their entire life in the country? I am not sure that anyone would have even considered the possibility of imported fish when setting up a record fish registry.

Unmarried British man's wife threatened with death after an alleged immigrant carp from France is passed off as new British record... Do fishermen need to start checking the status of any record fish they catch? https://uk.news.yahoo.com/fisherman-receives-death-threats-fellow-110239548.html

That has not been my experience. I have never had anything freeze in my unheated garage. However, I do have living space above and behind my garage. My garage is attached to the house on one side, the back, and the ceiling; it is only exposed on one side plus the door. And the exposed wall is brick. In my case, I would only need a heat source for extended extreme cold weather; so the 110 volt heater would be more than enough. A garage that is only attached to the house along one wall with no living space above it would be a different situation.

I think a small baseboard heater should be enough to stop the garage from dropping below freezing. I also have a single car attached garage. Neither the outside wall, nor the door are insulated. My garage never seems to reach freezing temperatures. I keeps my minnows there in the winter and they have never frozen. I do have a brick house; so that may help. I think that a heater at the floor level is more effective since cold air settles. A regular plug in space heater with a thermostat plug should do the trick. Run two on different circuits if you want to be extra safe. http://www.morelectricheating.com/products/THERMOSTATS%20AND%20ACCESSORIES/PLUG%20IN%20INLINE%20THERMOSTATS/EASY%20HEAT%20PRE-SET%20THERMOSTAT.aspx
