haha that makes sense now, little slow today. I'd be willing to pay $5 for close parking. on the plus side, it is supposed to be a gorgeous day weather wise! No real need for the hut = easier walking!
-
Sorry I am confused, what do you mean by 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other....?
-
do you all access right off of Shores Acres @ Kon-Tiki Marina? Google maps shows some parking there. Or do you go off of Gilford Road?
-
Couldn't care less about the football game and really want to get out on the ice! A few questions though; I assume there is bare ice meaning its slippery, is it recommended to grab some add-on cleats? Is there adequate parking in Gilford? We will be leaving early in the morning, hoping to be there at no later than 7:30. Last but not least, how far out will we need to walk to get to ~25' of water? Sorry for all the questions but I'd rather be prepared then not! I guess the best bet for my last question is to walk out to where there are some permanent huts and drill to check depth but I'd rather have a general idea of the trek Thanks everyone

Ice Fishing Cant Go Any Better This Year!

that last pike is a beaut. Wish I were closer, you could teach me a thing or 2! -
All I can think of with the red glass is that it is harder to see from a distance at night, then say white or yellow light.

WagJag Link RideOnRentals.com Hey guys! I love the idea of WagJag, but rarely come across anything worth while. This sounds decent. $69 for 4hours(kinda short..) ice fishing hut rental for up to 12 people, here is what RideOnRentals.com says is included in the offer Doesn't sound like too bad of a deal, especially if you want to go with first timers or kids to keep them warm. My question is, what lake is it on? I am definitely interested to go with a group of people. At $70, bring 7-10 people and its pocket change per person. What do you all think?

The girlfriend is out... but my brother may be in! Crossing my fingers hes down...its just such a long drive from Oakville... lol
-
will try to make it out with my girlfriend. We need to learn how to icefish, last year was uneventful to say the least. Hopefully see you guys there. You think a Mazda3 could make it out to where this spot is? I had 'er on Simcoe last year with no problem, but if there's too much snow she might not make it haha edit* ofcourse if the ice isn't thick enough we can always walk!
-
awesome video! maybe this winter I can catch something other than perch through the ice with the help of the information in that episode!

Nothin special...but this is the first year of fishing for me Largemouth, not sure on the length/weight Pike (don't laugh please) and that's about it. Nothing special, I know but it was a fun year for me! That bass was my favourite though. Must beat 'em this year!

Link to Flyer Deals look okay...was hoping for more deals on rods/reels, preferably spinning. No tackle (advertised anyways). I don't really need anything in the flyer but thought maybe some of you guys would like to know the deals! Any thoughts on the BPS Enigma reel+free rod? Might be my chance to try baitcasting...

Thanks guys! Thanks for trying Big Cliff! That's an awesome gesture, I appreciate it a lot. Thanks to everyone else! I will see what is under the tree Dec.25th, and will go from there! I might just have to grab that KVD book as well...I think the guy may know a thing or 2 about bass fishing...

I was at that game. Great game!!! Gotta love seeing the game live, gives you more respect for just how talented the players really are. Couldn't have seen a better game live. A few more goals would have been nice, but at least they were competitive. One of the few games this season that they played a full 60+mins. Cam Ward was standing on his head.

that is true but at the same time I wouldn't mind having something to read that isn't on a monitor. That and I am being hounded by family as to what I want for christmas, so why not get a couple books to help expand my fishing knowledge
-
hey everyone I am looking to get a couple books on tips n techniques on how to fish for bass, pike, panfish, ect., and where to find them and what to look for structure wise. I am going to be asking for these books as gifts, and have already asked for dave mercer's tip book. I wan to expand my knowledge and hopefully it will help me understand when to use what technique, ect. Any ones in particular that you've read? Thanks a lot!
