  10. I got a custom travel cover with my princecraft. There are 3 telescopic poles that come with it. The cover has to be quite tite so the when you are on the highway, the cover doesnt baloon and become loose and start flapping. For short runs, i dont bother with the cover at all. Is yours a mooring cover, or a travel cover?

  14. It was Larry. The wind was howling, and although it wasnt raining much when we were on the water, the rainsuits came in real handy Every once and a while we would hit a sheltered spot and i would light up a smoke Is the Pike population making a comeback? I have heard that they have been hard to find over the last few years.
  15. Make sure you use a rod that you dont mind loosing The idea is fine, the material not so much
  16. nice try, but it looks a little flimsy
  17. Mike and i had made plans for Musky opener on the Rideau and as the date drew near, we realized that it was gonna be a wet one.So off to Sail, and out i came with a new H H rainsuit and a couple of lures Met Mike at his place at 3pm Friday, and instead to sitting around till the next day, we decided to hit the river for walleye. Trolled cranks for 3 hours or so, and we caught 5-6 nice walleye in the 3-5 lb range a bunch of OOS smallies and i caught this behemoth. I was sure it was a Musky, because we do occasionally get them trolling for Walleye. I was using a 7 ' Compre, Heavy rod, and this guy doubled it over like it was an ultralite. At one point, i looked at my rod tip, and thought i must be hooked on bottom Even Mike thought it was a Musky, but as i called off the feet of line out and reached the 15 ft mark, Mike turned around with that look, and said calmly, "Keep your rod tip up Paul, its a big walleye, Start bringing it over to the other side of the boat" Here it is. 8lbs 28 inches. Good thing we decided to get out on friday, because Musky opener on saturday, we through everything we had at them and the only Musky we say that day, a 45 incher, threw the hook before we could get it to the boat. But thats ok, Any day on the water with my good friend Mike, is a great day

  20. Spent yesterday an most of today with Musky Mike. Arrived at his place yesterday and we decided to hit the Fran for some eyes. Up at 6am and it was cold and windy and even though we saw only one musky on our day on the Rideau(Mike got into a nice 45 incher that rolled in the weed bed and shook the hook ) Did manage fish though I got this 8 lb baby, and Mike and i did well on the walleye.
  21. oh do i know the feeling. Man toys are irresistable to me. Coming back from the Rideau today, Mike(Musky Mike) asked if i wanted to stop at PaddleTales. I shouted NO!!!!!! and broke out in a cold sweat that lasted all the way back to Montreal
  22. On a more serious note, you can get some fine mesh similar to what they use on a driving range, and suspend it from tent poles over the entire yard, until the grass starts to grow. Make sure that all birds and cats are off your proprty before laying the mesh in place, or you will have an awful mess to clean up. You can thank me later
