Sitting here the other day, drinking a coffee, and petting my Lab. I scratched her ear,inside, and when i took out my finger she sniffed and licked it. Did it again.....same thing. I then tried it on my Pom....Same thing. Next i went next door and tried it on my neighbors bichon maltais....same thing My neighbors looks at me weird now. Oh well.... Whats up with that !!! Could it be, that because they have no fingers, this is the only way they can know whats going on in there Its just about the only part of their body they cant reach.... Any Ideas why I know some of you will try this,at least i hope so. Try it, they always do the same thing...every time too.

Last fall, i heard some of you 'OLE Timers' speak about something called winterlude.I thought you were talking about some kind of celibration of winter or something. I mean, i've never spent the winter in here with you guys before.Sometime in December i figured it out. Its like cabin fever only worse.Its taking a couple of hundred more or less strangers and sticking them in a room for 6 months with no place to go, and all of them telling the same story of their favorite passion, fishing in our cases.After a few weeks, maybe a month, we have all told our stories of the summer before, and now search frantically for something to talk about,just so we dont lose touch with one another What would happen if......... Weekly funnies(getting more risque by the day).... Did ya hear the one about.... Kill the cormorants..... Drinking on the ice..... Mines the best screw the rest....................... Broken tackle and bad service................. People going through the ice............ the price of gas................... mines bigger,longer,smaller,lighter,more flexible,...and did i tell you mines the best... locked threads, deleted posts,bump...... weird PM's....................... I've learned alot too. I have learned that i can be sarcastic,funny, serious,ridiculous, entertaining,helpful,generous,excited,aloof,caring,uncaring,offensive. I also learned so can all of you. I have learned that i like some of you, and that i dont like some of you.I have learned that some of you like me, and some of you dont. Thats part of the big picture, and i live with it, the same way you live with it.We are a cross section of all races and religions. I also learned that we are basically all the same, no matter how we like to come accross in here.We have had different experiences through out our lives, but we are all made of the same stuff. But mostly i have learned that at its worst, this is a pretty kewl place to be, and at its best, its unbeatable!!!!!!!!!!!!! And once Winterlude is over, i shall be saddened. Because softwater will be back, and lots of us will be on the water instead of cooped up inside, sitting here in out pajamas,boxers,jogging pants,fruit of the looms, and yes...some of you even in negligees, camisoles and bras,beating the keyboards with the story of our lives, and how much we miss being in the boat, by the lake,in the streams,on the rivers,at the cottage,in a tent, FISHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and i bought one of these on saturday too. More for the novelty, but its well made and i am gonna use it this season at least once sposed to be good for fish up to 5lbs too.

Good, Better, Best in a Marine VHF Antenna The best will have a polished high-grade stainless steel ferrule, soldered internal connections using high quality material like silver plated brass, a well-built fiberglass exterior with an aircraft-grade finish, and be foam-filled to isolate signal radiators from vibration and moisture intrusion. You will most often see these antennas installed on expensive sportfishing boats and yachts. A more moderately priced unit will still have silver plated brass elements, but instead of soldered connections they will probably be crimped, foam filling will give way to foam spacers, while the ferrule and fiberglass will be slightly lower grade. These are the antennas most of use should be using on our recreational boats. The least expensive marine VHF antennas will have a non-metallic ferrule, crimped internal connections using lower grade materials, and a less robust fiberglass housing.

I'm going to be trying something new(to me) this spring, for small and LMB. Bombers Badonk-a-Donk. I saw it on WFN, and it seems to have a really wild top water action to it. It aslo has rattles, so i believe it will be good for the waters i fish,stained.I bought 3 High pitch and i low pitch, in a few colors that seem to work here. I will keep you up to date. I really bought it for the silly name, but i also feel good about the way they swim.
