Strange is the key word. MY take on it is this. You join up, you offer a bit of info on yourself, whether its real or not, no one cares. Then when you start a thread like this, or post on someone elses thread, we like to see who the heck that masked man was, hence the views of your profile.Sometimes you PM them sometimes you dont. When someone drops a PM on me, like you did a while back, if i dont reognize them, i see who they are before responding, even if they never respond to the response See...Simple.

if you want to try something new, an inexpensive, brand name combo is the way to go. They have most of the bells and whistles as the high end equipment, and you dont have to put a ton of cash on the line.

Good question SS, but maybe one better googled.On a fishing forum you get alot of opinions, and personal preferences, and then sift through to get the answers. It really is a preference and not necessarily an advantage/disadvantage thing.Depends on what and how you fish.

Why Trilene? I found the memory in Trilene Monofilament drove me nuts. Strem did the same, but Suffix Elite and Suffix Siege are an excellent Mono with very little if any reel memory.

I am fully bummed out for you Terry.Golf isn`t all that bad. Some courses have ponds with fish in them so bring along your rod. Just stay away from the golf carts and anything else mechanical
