  1. I've had one of these for about 5 years, best chisel I've ever owned. I think I paid $50 for it. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/jiffy-mini-mille-lacs-ice-chisel.aspx?a=242760
  2. If both backing out of a driveway, the accident is considered 50/50 and normally he would pay half his collision deductible. Since the 3rd party left the scene and is unidentified, the whole thing falls under his collision coverage, so he would pay the full deductible. Most companies rate for an accident where you are 50% or more at fault, and his deductible is probably $500 to $1000, so I would suggest he not go through insurance.
  3. Went down to the local Canadian Tire to pick up some fuel stabilizer and saw they now sell Seafoam. It was $11 and change for 473ml. Sign on the shelf said "best price in town", but I haven't found anywhere else in town that sells it, so that may explain the sign.
  4. I had one of their boat trailers for a couple of years. No issues with it.
  5. pine is plenty strong enough for that project, and alot easier to work with than most woods. Take a trip to Peacock Lumber in Oshawa or check their website, you can get just about anything you need there.
  6. Your insurance company replacing your vehicle is not an option. What they will settle on is what you could reasonably sell your vehicle for. Get as many comparables as you can find, and that should give you an idea of what they should be paying you. You do have the option of keeping the truck, and they will deduct the salvage value from the payout. For example, if the truck is worth $3500, and the salvage is $200, they will pay you $3300 and you keep the truck.
  7. You don't need liability insurance to operate a boat in Ontario. You need to have the vessel license (ownership), and I believe they now require you to keep your bill of sale on board as well.
  8. Call or drop into the building department and talk to Ken. He'll tell you exactly what you need.
  9. The only time UPS charges a brokers fee is when you use their standard shipping. If the item is being shipped Express or Expedited, there are no brokers fees, and you usually receive it in 2-4 days. http://www.ups.com/content/ca/en/shipping/cost/zones/customs_clearance.html
  10. You can check this site under the Forms heading and get an idea of pricing for your boat. http://www.dufort.mb.ca/index.html
  11. Try Dogbowl Boards in Brooklin. I got my wakeboard post there.
  12. You can order it through Cabela's or Bass pro.
  13. There is a diagram on page 2 of the link below. http://www.humminbird.com/PDF/Piranha1_2_IN.pdf
  14. Thanks again Fisherman. It will be easier to attach the riggers to the trolling motor batteries.
  15. Good point Roy. I'll probably hook up to the starter battery then.
  16. Thanks Fisherman, will hook it up tonight.
  17. First of all, I know there have been a few wiring questions lately, so if these questions have already been covered, I apologize. I have a new-to-me boat, which uses a 24v trolling motor and has an on-board charger. There was only one battery, so I need to get another, and figure out how everything was connected. I believe I connect neg from the trolling motor to neg on one battery, pos from motor to pos on other battery, and connect the remaining two battery posts. Is there a proper order to do this? My second question involves the charger, it is a two bank charger with a separate charging wire for each battery. Is there a problem using the charger when the neg terminal on the one battery is connected to the pos on the other? There is an in-line fuse for each pos terminal, as well as for the neg terminal that is attached to the other positive. Not sure if I'm being clear or not. Last question: when you run downriggers, do you run them off the starting battery, or the trolling motor batteries? I'll be using a kicker, so won't be charging the starting battery while trolling. Thanks.
  18. I don't think you are charged duty, at least I haven't been. They do collect the gst and pst on delivery.
  19. I found an older Penn level wind reel at my parents cottage when they bought it. It was missing the nut opposite the reel handle which held the handle in. After a bit of investigating I was directed to Normark. I called service, told the guy I talked to what I had found, and what was missing. He asked for my name and address, and a week later I received a package with two of the nuts in it, free of charge.
  20. three guesses at Gordie Howe, none right.
  21. The floor mat and sticking pedal are supposedly two different issues. I have a 2010 Tacoma and got the letter on the floor mat, but am not included in the recall on the pedal. http://www.toyota.ca/cgi-bin/WebObjects/WW...anguage=english
  22. My Jiffy has been running a little sketchy, so I want to try the synthetic and a new plug, but I can't find it; can someone tell me where I can pick some up? Thanks.
