Art (aplumma) and I have had quite a few bikes over the years.Yes Joey ,we love them Triumphs I had a couple of Tigers and Art had a Bonnie. All of them the wrong side shifters.Messed us up when we would get on the dirt bikes.Lately we have been busy with some vintage(read cheap)jap iron.We have a pristine 1978 kz650,a 1981 yamaha xj bobber we built,a 83 750 virago that is waiting for inspiration and a 77 kz 750 2 cylinder that we are making a cafe out of.That sight has some of the greatest works of garage home cooking that I have ever seen.Does my soul good to see that us gear heads/artists are not on an island here. Every once in a while I clear out my cookies. Then I become a "visitor".Then when I try to post I have to log in.Then I am a memeber. That might explain some of the visitors.I would be all for a members only steehead and trout forum to keep the spring trib fights contained.Maybe a native walleye/pickeral netting and selling to reastaurants member only area would be good also.A vertical hold musky/bigass pike area may work also. All smartassiness aside maybe a members area only would encourage some of the lurkers to come on board and cuntribute instead of just taking from the forum. You might be onto something here. Joe

Now thats funny.Bet you never in your wildest dreams you thought that would happen when you hung it up there. Joe

That old Ford will do fine.My 1965 250 still runs pretty good.Get the boat.Dont finance it though,by the time you are done paying it off you could have bought 4 boats. Joe

Start with the ballcock. If I was standing there I would lift the arm up a few times and listen to how it shut off.The fact that it has a slow fill prolly points to the ballcock. The flapper needs to be replaced just because.Thanx for the "g" rated pic ya teabagger. Joe

In the NAVY the airplane side of the service are called Airdale's.Labs swim...Airdales fly...Duhhhhh. Joe

It could be the washer in the cut off fluttering causing the problem. Its not always the place where the noise manifests itself that is the root of the problem. One part that malfunctions in the system can act like a slinky and reverberated thruout the house.A bad pressure reducing valve will make the house feel like a train is comoing thru the house when you flush the toilet. Some types of ballcocks are more likely to cause a vibration so a pic of the tank contents can go a long way.The cut off replacement is not that tough but if you screw it up then you wont have water till the plumber shows up,thats why the ballcock and flapper replacement are first order. Joe

It could also be the cut off washer fluttering but I would replace the ballcock, flapper and supply before the cut off.You should still be under 30 bux in parts. If that doesn't do it take a pic of the toilet..the back part without your parts in the picture and we will go from there. Joe

Cool..Can we go back to pissing each other off now? Joe

Here are two: http://www.in-fisherman.com/content/winter-hearty-fish-chowder. A very good recipe for sure. And this one that I stole and morphed from Big Cliff, just use fish insted of scallops and shrimp. Seafood Chowder 2 Leeks chopped 2 bunches scallions chopped 1 lb bacon 8 cups chicken broth 5 heads of garlic 3 shallots 1 cup of flour 32 oz(one big bag)frozen corn. 4 14 oz cans of diced potatoes. Drained 1lb cooked cocktail shrimp 1 lb scallops 2 sweet bell peppers chopped 1 cup fat free ½ & ½ Roast garlic and shallots at 350 together for 1 hour. Cook bacon until crispy. Take 3 tablespoons of grease and put in large stock pot. Chop bacon and reserve. Add leeks and scallions and cook over medium heat until soft and coated with bacon fat. Add flour and cook additional 4 minutes, scraping bottom of pot to keep flour from burning. Add 4 cups of chicken broth, slowly at first to keep flour from clumping. Press each clove of garlic by squeezing cloves between thumb and forefinger. I wear rubber gloves. Do the same to the shallots. Add Garlic and shallots to pot. Bring to boil and simmer for 30 minutes. Allow to cool for a few minutes and puree with food processes or blender. Add rest of chicken broth and peppers and bring to boil.Simmer 30 minutes until peppers are soft Saute scallops in butter or bacon fat and add to pot. Add shrimp, corn, potatoes and peppers. Cook until corn and potatoes are cooked. Turn down heat and add ½ and ½. Serve in a warm bowl with bacon sprinkled on top. A splash of sherry is also good. Cheers Joe

Too funny Tinman.I remember more than one of my HVAC guys topping off his tires with R-22 back in the 80's.They would hang you and your family for that now.The same guys also never had a schrader valve in their spare..Wonder where that went?Nitrogen???We purged with the good stuff back then. Joe

I may be in the minority here but I have had a lot of "varmit" issues here.I have a very trusty 22 mag that will touch most varmits out past 100 yards. How big of a lot are you gonna use this on?22 mag is a rimfire and the rounds are cheap. The range on a good one is as far as I need. The ruger with the bull barrel is sweet.Put a big old deer scope on it and wail away at them groundhogs with confidance. We enjoy the single shots for plinking cans but a magazine with more than a few makes recreational shooting fun.Go for a bolt action, better acuracy although at the 22 level it may not be a factor. The bigger bolt action guns are way more accurate than the semi's.I don't want to get into the politics of the guns here much but if you have any kind of criminal record here you will not just be able to walk in and buy a gun the same day.If you are not a criminal and are a free man it is your right in this country to own a firearm.Commit a crime and you lose that privelidge. The day the govt thinks it can tell you that you cannot have a firearm because they think you may not be fit without cause will be a very dark day in this country.Unfortunatly I think we are headed that way. Spot on..the resort trips and not just the fishing trips are way overpriced. You can do better at the docks or at the vendors on the beach.A little spanish and a couple of bucks and you are in.The trips are pretty much all the same, the resorts package them differently but there is a premium for thier service.Enjoy your trip!
