Ya it was nice to meet you guys .Send me a PM if you ever want to get out and do some fishing .Or talk fishing and look at waitresses again for that matter
Thank you for the replies guys.I wanted to make sure if I had to take it in to get serviced that I got it in early before the rush.I guess I could buy a new one this one has done me very well over the years .I am still hoping for a new boat that comes with a trolling motor but the wife wants a new car so I have to wait another year
I have been buying from E-bay for a while now and I dont know if its a good thing or bad thing its to easy to just click and buy .Too many good deals I just got 4 more reels in today .
I have a 24 volt minkota bow mount on my boat .Its around 6-7 years old.Last year I replaced the foot pedal it wasnt working .I noticed last year that it doesnt steer as fast as at used too.Steering to the right is faster than to the left.Nothing is catching or pinching the shaft so I dont get it .Is there brushes or something I can replace or some type of service that can be done to it .
Thanks Jamie
I am a righty . My spinning reels are all left and my baitcasters are mainly right handed for the exception of 1 left handed baitcaster I use for flippin
Go figure I just went on a crazy spending spree on Ebay a couple of days ago .Oh well I guess you cant have to many rods or to much tackle so I am heading over this morning to check out the sale.
No Clampit I have alot of rods already to many if you ask my wife.I am looking at a rod just for senko fishing.I like to have many rods tied and ready to go in the boat with different baits.
Ok guys last year I started fishing senkos and love them .I was using an older 6.5' medium heavy quantum spinning rod with 15# power pro which my buddie steped on and broke so I am looking for a new rod this year.I know most of the time you watch the line with this technique so a sensative rod tip isnt as critical but I found my last set up seemed heavy for such a light wieght bait.I fish from a boat and do alot of dock and shorline weed fishing for lrg mouth bass so maybe I do need a heavy action rod .Any advice on rod and line would be helpful thanks
Well got a call around 9pm Friday night from my buddy who wanted to head down to fishmasters walleye tourney .Thought for about 2 seconds great idea.So I rushed around got packed and was in bed around 11pm.Picked my buddy up at 4am Saturday morning and we were on our way.Wow what a turn out I am sure Steve will post the results and numbers but there had to be over 100 guys out there .Great weather but a little bright for the eyes .Landed one eye and lost three at the hole one in the 7-8 lbs range Chris got the big skunkaroo he had a few hits but that was it.Great day out nice weather and a little bit of fish action.
Me after losing my third fish of the day it was either laugh or jam the rod down the hole
We were sitting on about 4.0 inchs of ice I prefer more but no problems
Supper
Cant comment on the reel but I bought a 6'6" medium light cherrywood this summer hate it snapped two different rods one on its third cast and one on a small bass and I didnt find it very sensative after the second one broke I didnt even bother tacking it back. But thats just my experience I am sure there are guys here that have had better luck than I have
