  1. I have noticed when using live minnows the noise of an auger or passing sled seems to wake them up and swim a little more usually atracting the attention of bigger fish but there are always limits to what is to much noise.
  2. I always use a fast moving bait to pick off the easy biters then go back over with a jig and pig or texas rigged worm or tube flippin open pockets in the weeds and edges for those less aggressive bass
  3. You definatley are off to a good start but believe me the addiction never goes away.I have soooooooooo many tackle boxes full of stuff I dont even remember what I have any more .I think what you will find after a while you will stick to a certain colour and style of bait once you get some cofidence in one or another( GO TO BAIT) .So I wouldnt worrie about adding anything just get out and see what works for ya,you seem to be tackled up for most situations.

  15. Well said Cookslav . This time last year I lost my job due to slow downs ,no one was there to bail out my company so why do the big 3 auto workers feel so entitled that there jobs and families are more important than mine? I took a $15000 pay cut .It sucked but my family still has a roof over there head and food in there bellies .I have a mortgage and car payments too just like the big 3 auto workers so were was my hand out .Quit whining get off your find another job and stop asking for hard working tax payers money to save your jobs .I my self have given enough in the last year to help my self and my family and I am not willing to lose any more of my money be it in taxes or whatever to bail these guys out

  18. I asked a guy from work to bring me in some deer fur from his last hunt, my idea was to try and tie some of my own hair jigs over the winter .He brought in a tail so I fillet it off the bone and removed as much of the fat and meat as I could. So here is the question do I have to treat it with anything so it doesnt go bad and can I wash it with something it really stinks. My fear is deer ticks or bacteria or someting ? I dont know I am not a hunter so I dont know what to do with it , Thanks Jamie
  19. We took our holidays up at Promised land camp last week on Nippissing,The new owners Henning and Linda are very friendly and helpfull and the park is still very well maintained as when Frank owned it.We were faced with mile high clear blue skies but managed to boat alot of lrg mouth ,we concintrated our efforts in back bays with heavy cover. We used Top water soft frogs, senkos and texas rigged curly tailed worms thanks to KOMANCHI ,They were just crushing the top water baits but it was really difficult sinking the hooks and keeping them on in such heavy cover,For every bass we boated we lost 2 but heavy cover was where they were.My uncle tried more open deeper water with very little success so we stuck with it for the week at least we were triggering strikes. We did manage a few smallies on deep rock points but the bite was really tough they were just sucking in the tubes not one decent hit all real light pick ups all the pike we caught were small .Monday night was just on fire we boated 20 bass and lost just as many in a few short hours. That night all were over 2.5 lbs the biggest being 5.4 lbs it didnt matter where we casted in the bay there seemed to be a bass .My son and I both managed our PB for lrg mouth on this trip mine measured 23" which I hope helps team #7 in the point standings. All in all it was a great trip with alot of fish ,I posted a very small sample of the bass we caught all week long there was just to many pics to post.Hope you enjoy the pics Jamie PB large mouth 23 " My son Jacobs PB large mouth

  22. Well the morning wasnt looking good with all the rain but I had to get out so off we went .After sitting at the lake for an hour waiting for the rain to let up we finally got the boat in the water. We fished for a couple hours and didnt do to bad .We were worried the downpours and lightnig returning so we fished the area pretty quick .Most were caught on senkos and a couple on tubes on a variety of colours.
