  1. They are still around but have moved to King st/Royce ave. Believe the grandson is running it now. I've seen many other posts recently from people who have dealt there. 3 Royce Ave 1 & 2 Orillia L3V 5H8 705-325-3526 Michael
  2. Boat is not hooked up to my vehicle and following me? Michael
  3. Judging strictly by the amount that boat is overhanging the trailer I'd say it is set up for more like a 10 footer, maybe 11, but it should adapt to 12. Can't really see the bunks so it's hard to say for sure. Michael
  4. Brian is very right about this Dave - the bunks should end right at the transom. Can't tell from the picture if you have enough tongue to move the mast ahead far enough. You may also need to move the axle ahead too or all the weight will be on the tongue and may affect how it pulls along with becoming a back breaker if you ever try to move it manually. As for modifying the enclosed bow, you may not gain all that much for the effort. Not sure if it has a hatch in it or if you could cut one in to see how much it may benefit you, but consider too that the existing is good for mounting the trolling motor to. Check out the renovations sections on iboat.com for some great ideas! Michael
  5. I USED to have that DVD - note USED. Watched it once then put it in the yard sale bin. If you watched it then you now know why you're seeing the numbers - warning ya not ta watch it agin! (or get rid of the dvd!) Michael
  6. Google Jay Z's 4:44 album Brian. Can't seem to post a link to it here right now. Kinda interesting and may give you a thought where to go next. Michael
  7. You must really be upset Brian - this got posted twice just a minute apart. Glad you had a great season though! New place has unlimited internet so now I can spend the winter watching your videos. Michael
  8. Thanks Cliff for the compliment! I do try, just like you buddy. Michael
  9. MB2 - I think your kids (real number) would be more than any crowd you might get at a picnic table...what would that be, about 8? Of course if you take the suggestion to name it Free Beer, all bets are off on what kind of turnout you'd get - I'd wanna see the video of that! Michael
  10. I think you should call it the fishinwishinhuntingruntingettinnuthin show band. Sellout capacity crowds at a picnic table near you! Michael
  11. OK that means that the power is most likely coming directly to the switch from another device (outlet etc) or the panel rather than a junction box. What we need to determine is where the fault is. Let's see if we have power to the switch first. With the power OFF (breaker if known for sure or whole house) remove the wire nut and untwist the white wires. Disconnect and remove switch. Make sure all 4 wires are spread well apart. Turn power on. Using multimeter in 200VAC range, test one black and white, changing but always one black and one white until you get a read between 110-120 volts. This identifies which pair are power coming in and that they are hot/good. If no reading then you have no power coming in. If there are no other devices affected by this breaker then the problem is between the panel and the light switch. IF other devices are on this breaker and working, the problem is between the last device working and the switch. If you have power then move on to the next. So let's test the wire to the fixture now. Next, with the power off again, remove the light fixture. Lightly twist the black and white wires in the fixture together. At the switch ensure you've untwisted the white wires and disconnected the blacks. Using the ohmmeter function on the multimeter or the continuity tester (usually beeps on a digital) touch the probes to one black and one white, changing but always one black and one white. Note which ones give continuity or beep, they should be the two not identified as being hot. Untwist the wires at the fixture and repeat. When you cease getting results on one pair then the wire to the fixture is good. Retwist wires at fixture to verify, then untwist. You have now verified which wires feed the fixture and that they are good. One of these two tests should fail - meaning no power coming in or no power from switch to fixture. If both pass, hook it all up (power off of course) power up and check the wires in the fixture box. If this fails when the other two both pass together - y'all gotta bad switch, which can happen with new ones though rare. I'll be in/near coboconk over the turkey weekend working for one of my other customers. PM me before then by a couple of days and I might be able to drop by if you haven't cured it by then. The foregoing should give you what you need to know though. Michael Michael
  12. Washroom GFI, if done right, should be on it's own circuit. Tell me about the switch controlling the outside light - is the black and white wires attached to the switch OR are there 2 white wires in a wire nut with two black wires attached to the switch? Michael
  13. On the outside chance that the exterior lights and outlets are on the same circuit I'd look to see if a GFI outlet was installed and maybe tripped. This would mean power came from the panel to the outlet before going to the switch, then to the light. It's not really normal but whose to say what's been done over the years. Without some pictures or actually being there it's hard to diagnose. The wire being disturbed by animals between the switch and light is a good possibility IF the wire is accessible to such a disturbance. The good thing here is once you find the problem you'll have much better insight as to how your house is wired. And if you do have to change out chewed wire to the light, use bx (armored) so they don't chew it again! Michael
  14. Y'all will never see my fatazz ever again when I cash in the winning ticket I'm holding (sorry MB2) 'cause it'll be on permanent R & R living the high life behind VERY high walls on a private off the grid self sustaining island paradise formerly habitated by Gilligan & crew constructed to rigid hi tech standards. Access by private wunhelluvachopper and wuddabigfeffinyat only. Guarded by u-boats 3 days a week - you guess the days! Visitation by invitation only, all expenses paid and lotsa invites. Fishing boats ranging from 22 to 48 feet floating ready to go in a secured lagoon, all rigged, stocked and ready to go. Fully staffed by well trained and friendly, um, er, aaahhh - figure it out yerselves. Now, back to the real world... Michael
  15. GRRRRRR! I just paged back to the very beginning of this to remind of how the foundation was done. Dave, I guess those were Pbucket 'cause they ain't there no more! I had plans to review the entire post but that profit mongering outfit has ruined it for me and everyone else! What remains is still a work of art and genius, but it ain't all there for full impact! What a dirty shame. Michael
  16. One of you had better post if this turns outl! The suspense is killing me - if H really does get his gear back from BF this is gonna be one of those one in a million stories! Well? I'm waiting.... (LOL) Michael
  17. That goes for Grand Caravans too big guy! Michael
  18. Went from 1.02 to 1.09 on Tuesday, then up to 118.9 overnight in Orillia, except for the one station I found still had 108.9 at around 10:30 this morning. Yesterday was the first time I heard on the radio how Harvey "may" influence prices here, and sure enough... Michael
  19. Great that you got out BUT it seems you're another photobucket victim. Michael
  20. Art, to me our insurance costs are high here, where I am the prices are influenced by the Toronto region (thought I was far enough away but apparently not for insurance!). I pay 900.00/yr for a 2010 grand caravan and that's after discounts for age, accident free, snow tires in winter, loyalty etc. I do have collision, loss of use & forgiveness & comp. I have shopped around and haven't found much better (am with CAA right now). Bear in mind that currently there's a 30-35% difference in our dollars and add in our government is involved to "help". I believe my Landlord was going to be in the 1,500.00 plus (maybe more) per year for his bike (think he paid 750.00 to buy the bike) as a new rider, and would have been lucky if he could ride it 7-8 months of the year. Michael
  21. As was mentioned before - check into the insurance issues before you commit yourself. I've had my motorcycle license since I was 16, BUT because I haven't owned (read maintain active paid insurance on) a bike for many years I found out it would cost as much/more for insurance than for a couple of bikes I was considering - and they weren't big hawg cruisers either! My landlord thought he would save a ton using a bike he bought that needed "minor" work (if he could ever get it to run), spent a few hundred on parts, (didn't get it to run) then he went out and got the biker leather jacket & gloves, high end helmet (bike still not running) went and failed his motorcycle course twice before getting the learner permit (bike still not running - used a loaner) then went and asked about insurance (bike still not running - this is now 3 years I'm watching all this and bashing him over the head about checking into insurance) and found out it would cost him 3-4 times more for the insurance than what he could possibly hope to save in gas etc in his car. Jacket, helmet & gloves (about 800.00 worth) in the closet, bike in the shed (STILL not running). He's out quite a chunk of change with a bunch of unused stuff (including the bike) just because he wouldn't make the call to enquire about insurance FIRST. Now if insurance costs (along with all the rest) are not a concern then indulge yourself but DO take the safety courses, both for the learning and the riding experience. Initially, try to ride with at least one other bike if not a group (safety in numbers) and do remember you can't carry a passenger until you are fully licensed, insured, equipped, trained and experienced! Get through all that and then you will indeed have FUN! Michael
  22. Had about a 30-40 minute very intense t storm & high winds here - all calm now. Lotsa sirens heading up Rama Rd towards Washago shortly after it calmed, 3 separate groups. Imagine there may be at least some wind damage but I sincerely hope no injuries. Michael
  23. After a few tries, some due to changes at Pbucket, some me not remembering (turns out it was 2013 when I last used it) I finally got signed in and did me some reading. Annual packages for "3rd party hosting", which is any posting on any other site linked to your album, are 60, 100 & 400 annually depending on how many gbs your album uses (think that's what they mean) but I don't think you escape any of the ads if you pay these amounts. Big long press release whining about it being unsustainable to continue hosting for people linking due to number of business interests also linking for free - so everyone pays now. Still possible to access and download your own album contents only for free (unless they're lying about that somehow). I dunno guys, but I think what they're saying is that there's not enough ad revenue and other fees to support the hosting when what they mean is that after paying out the costs of hosting there's not enough left for dotcom style salaries (but they won't say that!). Facebook and Kijiji, even the Weathernetwork, now are so rife with ads that they've slowed right down for me using this Rocket Stick, and the bandwidth charges I pay for internet are ridiculous (like 10.00 per gb - use 60 gb in a month and see what a 600.00 plus tax Rogers bill looks like!) I had to stop watching any kind of video on line to cut that down (a bit!). I haven't tried any other hosting site but have heard of all the ones mentioned - if they're free now and they work, I'd be worried about them staying free. I kept copies on flash (usb sticks) and/or my external hard drive (so I still got them) and uploaded from there when I was posting. The big disaster here though, is for all the past posts that no longer show the posted pictures - that's a major blow and it would be a nightmare for any member to go back any post at all. What I mean by this would be Pbucket should not have cut standing links like they did, but certainly not permit any future ones after their notification. If there is a "real" photo hosting site that is truly free and won't cut established links if they change as Pbucket did, then it would be one I may decide to even pay a small fee to if they change. Pbucket to me now is just another site I won't visit to incure bandwidth usage. Think I'm gonna hafta go back to watching dvd's & tv...cheaper! Michael
  24. Saw a post somewhere, might have even been this board, saying Photobucket (or picture pail as I liked to call it) wants upwards of 400.00/year for the priviledge of allowing us to continue host pictures there for inserting elsewheres at no cost. Wasn't that their claim to fame when they started this service? I never used it much anyhow, but I won't be trying too when I need to either. I'll just see what's working most for everyone else and follow suit. Hope you find something soon - I still read as many reports as I can. Michael
  25. Grew up there in it's heydays and declining years - since the turn of the century it's been downhill. Everyone I hear from who still fishes there yearns for the old days from experience or hearing stories of yore. I've only fished it once since 1998. Oldphart - I promise I won't be there tomorrow and wish upon those memories that this will be your day to remember fondly. Tightest of lines! Michael
