  1. Maybe I'm missing the point, being a newbie & all. What possible constructive purpose are you attempting to supply here? Do you own the Suick factory and perhaps feel a little slighted? I fail, no matter how hard I try, to find anything of value to others in your comment. Care to enlighten those of us who are perhaps missing your valuable point? Personally, I find the effort made in the creation of a hand made lure and the result to be both fascinating and an excellent outcome of true craftsmanship. Michael
  2. Solopaddler - If you want to pm the picture & details you posted before I might be able to help out. It wouldn't be out of my way at all to go to Epps in the morning to see if they have exactly what you want. Couple of options exist to get them to you from there... Michael
  3. Just thought of it - Place just south of the 401 near you called "Gagnon's" I believe - if they're still there I'd bet they have a selection that should find you what you need. Haven't been in it for decades, but I seem to remember still being able to see it from the highway. Shoot me a p.m. if you're still stuck, I have a bunch of damaged stock I might be able to pull the hooks off if they're the right size for you. Michael
  4. TJ - When Canada gets the gold I hope they recognize your staunch support! (and bravery!) Michael
  5. Now that I've seen it posted in another thread I guess it's ok - I suggested luremaking.com to crappieperchhunter - minimum quantities might be involved but a couple guys could get together & make it happen. Michael
  6. PM Sent. Fall is good but so is the Orillia Perch Festival (starts in April, around the 3rd weekend I believe). Great way to warm up for the main season opener! Michael
  7. Would I be breaking any rules if I recommend a source that is not my own business? Michael
  8. Garry I'm relatively new here. I read your posts always, including on "other" boards. I can only suggest that you leave nothing to question - your reports are fully detailed and leave nothing to wonder about. I suggest this to be the reason for little or no response, coupled with jealousy over your location right now (I know I am!). I hope you reconsider, I promise I will respond, I just haven't felt I've been here long enough to interact as much as others. I sure would miss your reports, I got a real kick out of how short your "winter" was there. Michael
  9. My condolences Tinman. Michael
  10. Seems to be a 50/50 split - now I'm wondering... Michael
  11. Thought that was what the non-lead push was all about...? Michael
  12. Good One Syn! Michael
  13. Gil - you're stuttering - 5 posts identical, trying for minnow status in a hurry? LOL! Michael Guess that was a glitch this morning - only 1 post now, Sorry Gil!
  14. I have to echo the braid with flouro leader and agree that in the open the braid does ice up. This year I'm using the lightest braid (not "ice" braid), PP 1-8 & 2-10 in red with about 24" 10lb flouro leader. I only go in huts so icing isn't a problem. Don't know if I'm catching more or less as a result but I'm not unhappy with the performance of the lines (yet??). One thing I do like about the red is I can immediately see if the line goes sideways at all in the hole (usually healthy bait but sometimes...) I'm not sure if this is just because it's the first time I've tried it so I'm maybe paying more attention, but I feel pretty comfortable with it (isn't 90% of this sport your own comfort zone?). Figured I'd try this setup so I can use the reels & lines on my ultra light rods in the soft water season too - might as well maximize the mileage! Michael
  15. I had to help a buddy with his rottweiler last year. Seems to me it was much less than 300.00 (150.00 comes to mind). However, he did bring the dog back for burial rather than have the vet handle the final details. Not sure if this is an option for you or one you explored yet. Michael
  16. And don't forget good old Kijiji - probably find a whole machine there to use for a parts unit. Michael
  17. (rapidly counts change in pockets & on dresser) How much advertising can I get for $11.62? Oh, wait, need to hold a couple quarters for shopping carts, make that $11.12. Seriously, just in case I ever do have an advertising budget, where can I find out about it? Thanks! Michael
  18. ha ha ha! TJ, that came up in one of my frequent searches yesterday! I just now clicked on it and sure enough all the links I hit on it then are colored. At the time I thought it was another section of OFC I hadn't yet visited. So, when do you sleep...? Seems to me you're needing the 24 hours a day working on all these sites? Michael
  19. But watch your season closing dates up there! Haven't got my copy of the regs handy but when I was last on Nip walleye closed before the huts had to come off is what I remember. Not sure if it changed for 2010, didn't check as I'm not planning to go this year. Michael
  20. Denis, I have about 10 years under my belt in property management. Been before both the old Tribunal and current Board as a Landlord many, many times, both alone and with very high priced representation. As a result I've had a lot of exposure to both the Landord's and Tenant's perspectives, positions and approaches. The newer Landlord and Tenant Act has many changes in it that can be advantaged in a number of actions which the previous act had no recourse for. If you want to get into your specifics feel free to pm me on it. There are also many case histories on the Board's website that may be similar to yours that will be very enlightening. Michael
  21. Hi Lookin - pm sent. Michael
  22. Hi Rizzo, just tackle. Don't want to commercialize in the forums as I am new and not sure about if that would be proper, feel free to pm if you'd like to know more. Michael
  23. Sorry Art, I gotta work the weekend (along with the other days). Starting to fall there yet? Michael
  24. Found it! Too easy, maybe someone else wants to use it to get to the boat show. Michael
  25. C'mon Art! If'n yer gonna rat him out, do the whole job! Where'd he say that? Michael
