Good thing you're joking! Al - I can only say it's a humdinger! Looks like it just came out of a high priced package. Michael -
That's better. When you get to know me better you'll find out how much I earned being called that! But keep it a secret willya? Got a reputation to uphold! Michael

Cheapskate??????????????? And here I thought we were gonna be friends after the Solopaddler episode! Michael

Yeah - gotta go with coils too. Had the same with a 1985 30 hp Evinrude. Coils were the culprit. That 28 hp you have is probably a commercial workhorse - worth checking into if the compression is still good. As I recall, my coils weren't bank breaking replacements, certainly were easy enough (minutes as I recall). If it were jumping out of gear - you'd be in a momentary over rev then sudden down rev when re-engaging. Wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if they were readily available (couple days). Haven't got the link for it but try googling BRP parts - you may be able to access the catalogs & look it up yourself. I did that last year for a 1995 115 hp Johnson. Michael

I already cleared 5" (deeper in the drifts) yesterday and they're saying another 1" today (got about 3/4" last night), PLUS 2 to 5 inches tomorrow (Orillia Area) and again Friday. Been reading about a lot of guys with new blowers they haven't used yet this season - y'all are invited to try them out here! I'm on my 3rd 2-1/2 gallon can of gas since the beginning of the year! Are you saying it's jumping out of gear or shutting down & suddenly returning to full power? Michael

Spiel - I have never seen a more realistic bait in my life - those are almost too beautiful to actually use! Not yet a fly fisherman (it's on my bucket list) but I think I'd spend more time admiring those than using them if I had them. Michael -
Not my idea but a fast & cheap method - take the rod to Home Depot (or equivalent) & find a chair leg cap that fits. Glue it on. Done. I never had to do it myself, but I did see it on a couple of musky rods - seemed to be just fine, the owner was happy with it. Michael

OKAY then.... th th thththththththaaaaaat's all folks! All's well that ended great for Solopaddler! Michael
-
Thanks Skud! (go back a page and see what I said about ya!) Solo - do you still want me to head up there in the morning? Or has Skud got you covered now? Let me know, I can still go if you want. Michael
-
Son of a..... That's twice tonight I've been had! Skud - you am a gentleman, I don't care what the rest of 'em say about ya! Michael
-
OK - I've called off the curse, wouldn't do that anyhow! Looks like you got a great haul there Skud! Well done! Hope you'll consider sharing with Solopaddler, I was going to grab 'em all just for him. Did you just grab all the one color or were there any other colors in MR11 at all? Solo-remember plan b, it could still happen! I'll make a point of trying to. Michael
-
Seems to me you promised that earlier (yep - I checked - you did so!) So do I let Solopaddler down and not go, or do I not fall into another one tonight (vance got me good earlier!) and go anyhow? The suspense is killing me already.... FESS UP! Or I'll call down the fishing gods curse on every one of your honey holes! TWICE! Michael
-
I promised myself I'd never use the word "chain" in a thread involving TJ ever again. So I won't say that his is getting yanked.... Honest, I won't! Michael
-
Were there any MR11's at all in the bins? Michael
-
Heart skips a beat.... Then sees tighline's post...Whew! I'm going up first thing in the morning to check the bins. Think I might even know someone working there (I Hope). Stayed tuned folks..... Michael

Now that you mention it Hirk, if a guy who doesn't follow hockey gets that joke (eventually) - it MUST be a heck of a reputation! Now I feel better?????? Michael

Actually, I was trying to help someone else solve a bit of a dilemma when your post caught my eye - I really did take it seriously! After thinking it through (meaning I read it again along with the rest of the replies) I got it. Actually is pretty funny when you take it the right way. You got me good, my hat's off to you! And Vance, you do have a great sense of humour - you could have slapped me down for my reply but instead you seemed to have enjoyed it! Cudos to you! Michael
-
Well.... I could also add that if I was INTO hockey I would have got it. I'm really not, but once I figured it out, well, it's still a groaner! I heard you gave up your try at standup comedy because there was a bomb threat..... Right where you were standing! Michael

Sorry Roy - the 4th one is a rear drag. Saw that ad a couple months ago. No further comment. Michael

Uh-oh. At least I can plead being a newbie fer gettin caught in this one....OOOPS! Michael

You could try contacting the vendor (look for ask the seller a question option) to withdraw your bid. If all else fails, you could renege on payment & take a bad report post. Not a good way to do it but if it's a last resort.... Michael

Well... It's about 9km from here to the City Centre (or what Orillia has to pass for one). The Mall (where I'm going anyhow) is in the north end and Epps is a few minutes north of there. Might take me a whole whopping 10 minutes out of my way AND give me a chance to wander around a tackle shop...WHAT a HARDSHIP! I'm sure it's gonna be a challenging task but...what the heck. Assuming they're 7.00 like Tightlines said - how many ya want? Better yet - how much ya wanna spend would be a better question? And who do ya know that can pick them up on the weekend in the Innisfil Beach Road & 400 area (very large well known market there). Michael
