  1. Well, ran into a pull cord issue with the auger, going to be down for a couple of days ......... BUT the good news is it gave us time to fine tune the weather making, snow making machine Judging from the weather network for most of the country I think it's working I'll lock my door now. LOL
  2. X2 far to young.
  3. Thanks fishnsled,,,,,,,,,and yes time with my son is priceless, We used to have 2 children but 11 years ago my daughter became an angel but we are still blessed with our son , just turned 18, and his idea of a good time is turning wrenches and getting greasy, not into the smoking, drugs etc 2 weeks ago he re and reid his transmission, pretty much self taught, runs like a charm with no leaks.
  4. Beautiful fish and am sure you enjoyed dinner, glad u had a great day, used to really enjoy the late winter simcoe perch fishing. Now you can get ready for the soft water season.
  5. Thanks Smellybox, checked the sites out last night, little success. LOL Thats my feelings right now LOL. As mentioned my son put his heart and soul into working on the motor , he just turned 18 a couple of days ago. Done right from the inside out, great learning experience for us plus some time spent together, as mentioned it was going to be for my wife. But at $800 for a new module that would go into a machine with a troubled history does not make sense either. I think we will shut this project down based on your advice and that of Saltydawg and Smellybox. I truly appreciate all your knowledge and honesty, thats what makes this board what it is. Like I have told my son many times,,,,you only fail if you don't try. In the scheme of things this is small potatoes. The time spent with my son........priceless Shutting this project down.........beneficial You actually made my day....now we won't be putting any more money into a dead horse, Cheers John Thanks for the info saltydawg, I appreciate it, we had a lot to talk about last night, new module is pushing 800 dollars. We had come so far redoing it who would know.
  6. Thanks for responding..........I think I believe u as I know little about skidoo products,,,,,,,,, I guess it just wasn't what I was hoping to hear, are they really trouble.
  7. We bought a 2002 skidoo Grand Touring SE 800 during mid winter, had a blown piston. We rebuilt the engine, surprisingly not to much wrong with it lol but it was a good project for my son and I to work on, small crack in casing etc. UNKNOWN to us was after all the repairs that we did was that the CALIBRATION MODULE or ecm is fried. After asking around town, which does not take long up here we retested the stator, it is fine, the VERDICT .......a crapped out ecm. Apparently the ecm on the SE 800 is not interchangable with other models, live and learn. I have a request.......does anyone on the board have an ecm that they would be willing to sell from a machine that maybe is being parted out. This machine will be for my wife Thanks John
  8. I was rushing this morning,,,,my bad,,,yes muskie
  9. Take time to enjoy the aroma of a few shore lunches, things will work out
  10. Basskicker looks like Yellowknife.........you would love it up here, went up the ice roads yesterday and landed some nice trout, but your pike would have considered my trout a snack Great pictures . Looks beautiful, Gotta love winter, to bad summer is coming lol Winter up here opens up alot of areas for fishing that u cannot get access to in the summer. Enjoy some sledding for me.
  11. WHO NEEDS CHOCOLATE........................... Whats one the bbq looks sweet enough for me, that made my morning Cheers Blizz
  12. Common up here for a few days, still 4 feet + of ice and some nice lakers, I wasn't able to open up your link
  13. Nice boat and fish, looks like u had a great day. We went up an ice road yesterday and had to drill through 50 inches of ice, tractor trailers still hauling loads on the ice en route to the mines. Its a vast country we live in.

  16. Thanks also, you offer great advice, of interest the charger I have is an old motomaster 5 amp, product # 111513 LOL. Just a yellow light, no guages, ,,,,,,it does say with automatic overload protection, It was given to me by Jack McCann my uncle who is long gone but was the youngest pilot in the airforce to fly a prime minister full time, being Lester B Pearson . I will always keep the charger for a keepsake,,But will the old one not overbake the agm which I understand is its down fall?
  17. Thanks Fisherman, maybe I should invest in a new charger, mine is from the Flinstone era. Have a great weekend. Thanks ecmilley I guess it is a good way to go, enjoy the long weekend, I'll be ice fishing, still 50 inches of good hard water LOL can't get enough. Thanks Art for the time, this was new to me but if it is good for a Harley its gotta be good for a Polaris LOL enjoy your weekend, Cheers.
  18. Thinking of getting an agm battery , glass matt battery for the sled , is it worth it? The only thing I found out was that if it were totally dead, u should put jumpers to it from a fully charged battery and at the same time hook your charger to it then after 1 hour just keep the charger hooked up having just taken the cables off from the fully charged battery. I do like the fact they are sealed. Any benefits compared to a ctc job. Thanks John
